siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick scores Pro and Dino! definately something for us PSC users to strive for :)
Hats off to you James. Very nice work:clap:
Holy crap youngpro and dinos.
nice one Dino, and Youngpro
thanks guys for the kind words,
1 of these sticks is from a 2x4gb ripjawz X79 kit, the other one is from the same PSC kit fredyama owns and probably the brother of the kit splave used at absolute zero,
TWCL 7 splave, thats the sweet spot for frequency for me

will keep trying just for fun :) hope it goes better then last time
woop some ass splaver!
what sticks you runnin?
james.... wow!!! sick sick score there..
Nice scores everyone!
Thanks Hondacity , this thread has been a lot of fun.
Got the M5E last night, but had very little time to prep it and get a decent score. Ill also keep trying for fun.
Will keep tryin' too:)
I'm still playing too all be it beating up on my Team's now!!
Weird stuff it likes precise voltage, CL9 runs but needs uber voltage but on the filp side another 30MHz on the CPU & it catches my BBSE score so not too far out.

http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m...0782AIDA64.png
I got my M5F today, so I'll be trying for fun too (is that not what has been happening the whole time? :D).
Nice run with the Teams C-N. I can run up to 2730 9-12-12 on mine, but it takes 1.86v to pass 32m and I can't get my tertiaries quite as tight as you have there. Could be my IMC though.
Also awesome work to Pro and Dinos, PSC on LN2 looks like the shiz. I did a couple of runs on my M5G with PSC at 2600 7-11-7 but it just wasn't happening, hopefully the extra vdimm at my disposal with the formula will help.
Yup this thread is awesome, loads of skills, nice kit, exotic cooling & great to see hobby/fun clocker’s (like me) mixing it with the pro's.
My Teams run ok I thought they were sh**ty to start with but the more time I spend learning with them the more they grow on me. I have some work to do with them & like you say maybe my IMC is on the edge or maybe I'm running a bit tight but finding this out is all part of the fun.
I look forward to seeing some M5F damage :D
Glad to see people are still posting past deadline.... I'm looking much forward to trying again, been too busy lately though :(
Probably wont get the time before next weekend.
Great spirit C-N, splavester etc.
well since I like to procrastinate. . .

Congratulations Pro
*Perhaps a better time with MVE like Dumo's Run?
Top Air clocks from Dumo  Mr Airsanity
Top Gigabyte run From C-N
Huge participation from everybody:clap: We beat any Hwbot competition out there
-results after Aug1 will be ranked later on
thanks Honda at least you put me a number now lol, but u didnt update my score its .34 not .36
either way im the last :)
cheers !!!
Sergio
thanks Honda for running this ,good :banana::banana::banana:,
these comps are always so much fun, but theres no doubt they eat a big chunk of your lifes, theres nothing quite like trying to get your 32m efficiency right, except maybe 01 ;)
Thanks Honda and all that participated on this awesome comp:up:
Congrats Pro:toast:
You're always the first with knowledge and willingness to help. Respect!
And what an awesome runs with a 3570K C-N:)
Xtreme pi forum here is one of the oldest and also full of pure overclocking info regardless of hardware used:D
I think you are doing just fine with those Sammy's Zueus :)
Thanks guys..... Oh & Honda.... where's your run?
@ Sergio all the more to play for my friend.... if you want a hand PM me or post in here I'm sure we'll all help.
Edit:
Heres my latest with the Team's

Bit of airsanity suicide tonight.... Man those 8 layer PCB's love the voltage :D
To be far they could probably run lower but 1.95v didn't boot so I gave them a handful!!

awesome job everyone! Veyr nice pro and Dino! also C-N very nice also, even with 3570K you have top GB score, have fun with the UP5!
2V on air... That's my style :D
I had great fun constantly checking the next highest position then going back to work to try to beat it. I think it was a good go but in all honesty a 3770K should have been able to take me down easy enough & on this occasion a bit of right place right time helped.
Ha Ha... I was sensible over the weekend tweaking the RAM out in my style "crash it till it works" but last night after work I was messing about & blowing the froth off a couple & figured do it..... do it now before I change my mind. Funny how my best work always involves beer lol
great stuff C-N congrats
Thanks Dinos
Just for kicks in my lunchbreak I decided to see how far off the GB/HWBot 4.5GHz 32M Challenge I was with my LV's. 1st run @ 24/7 settings got me 7m.01.*** so I thought hummmmmm thats worth a go.

Guess I got a new game for another week :D
You're unstoppable! Nice going! :)
All in the name of fun my friend.... without this thread I would just have a PC!!! Now I got enthusiasm for Ivy :D
That’s the next 2 places done...... would have to switch to my BBSE to go faster I’m fairly sure.
http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m...ge/6m58593.png
Awesome runs @ 4.5Ghz C-N:up:
Seems like bbse will be a tad faster
http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/1074/451a.png
Shoot man thats blazing!!!! Think I might have to beat up on my BBSE one more time.
Better late than never, had problems with efficiency. Made my partition so small on C drive I had no room for waza, so I just did the big rar archive on D, set compression, added to archive and let it run. (Splave method)
OC Nub 6:18.671 - 50x100 - 1300 8-11-7-22-1T - Maximus V Extreme - Blue G.Skills 2133c8 - 1.915v Air - CPU on SS
Awesome run OC:up:
Almost to the territory of frozen psc:)
^Thank you!
Nice score Tommy - That was a blast out of nowhere.
That 1104 blues 2133 CL8 mixed up with M5E Ron:up:
^ Awesome kit Ron:up: Thanks!
I kept getting bad times, I finally listened to Dumo on how to set my partitions, and efficiency got much better:D
^epic run Tommy, those BBSE Ripjaw X's sure do piss excellence:clap:
this is probably one of the best threads on XS, once again thanks Hondacity, Fugger and Gigabyte:up:
Sweet run OC Nub
C-N going totaly crazy :D
Here's a run I put together tonight. Efficiency is off, didn't have much LN2 to play with. But I'll be back. :)

Women's beach volleyball is my new favorite sport.
jack, you should be able to get the ref cycle time down yeh?
Did some runs during the last 2 days ...
One run made on Gigabyte Z77 UP5 and two pairs of PSC ram . Everything on air ..
Stelios - 6:18:953 - 50x100 - 1300MHz - 8-12-8-28-96-1 - Gigabyte UP5 - Gskill 4dimm PSC mix - 1.84v - all air
Attachment 129282
The other run was on Maximus V Formula and a pair of PSC under cascade (-100c) . Cpu aircooled .
Attachment 129281
Attachment 129283
I'm gonna try to beat my time on Asus again . :D
Nice run!
Very good efficiency on your first run with 8-12-8 timings.
EDIT: just noticed you have 4 sticks of ram on your first run, hell of an IMC on your chip.
^just saw this as well, although I wonder if w7 x64 would be faster in a 4X2GB config.
regardless that is an awesome time Stela:clap:
ps I have been itching to come to Hellas and it looks like a winter trip is in order:yepp:
All my CPU's can do 4dimm 2600CL8 . Trouble is to run 4X4GB 2650+ Mhz :D
The whole thing is about interleaving and as long as it works properly on winxp then you're ready to go .
Win7 was always bad for spi32m.
Can't wait to meet you George !!! :D
Keep in mind that me and Aristidis will be at Taipei from 26 September till 12 October for the MOA 2012 .
1.128 vCPU for 5GHz on air! wow
Probabaly not vcore, its gigabyte board with cpuz 1.60.1. Very very nice runs Stelares
I think CPUZ 1.60.1 + Giga reports the VTT as VCore.
depends on the bios too Zen... I had Vcore being displayed, flashed the bios and then it was VTT again... never understood why GB boards have this readout...
but i dont care about cpuz! i only use it to verify clock speed and for my crap submissions... the board has voltage readout points for a reason.
http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...Capture-26.jpg
works with f5b on up5.
Is UP7 already out in the wild?
no idea, i certainly dont have one (no sarcasim intended)
its just a custom cpu-z skin i whipped up.
^looking good Davis, I like it better than the G1 Pirate thing:)
next update will be on the 15th and the 30th.
I'll join you guys soon :D
ZoLKoRn - 6:30:547 - 47x106.4 - 1418.4MHz - 11-14-14-35-147-2 - ASUS M5E - G.SKILL 2133MHz C9 ARES 4x2gb/CFR - 1.75v - stock air

:)
G1 CPUz has a fix for vcore readout. Goofball can see real vcore again and not have to pull out his DMM to check :D
Goofball likes Dino a lot lately, dino good boy !
ps: what's a DMM ?
digital multimeter
*edit*
d@mmit i think i just fell into that one.
last week i played a bit with some bbse sticks and M5E
unfortunately i cannot run cl8, so no better air time in it with those...:(
Attachment 129395
Very nice score, efficiency is great. Doesnt look like there is much difference between c8 and c9 as long as tRCD, tRP and tRAS are tight.
I have 2 kits that run 1300 8-12-7 but cannot get below mid 6:19s, tRCD 11 makes a big difference.
thx, but hmm did you try 1275 tRCD 11?
Yes, but they wont boot with tRCD11.
Hazzan - 6:21:391 - 47x106.4 - 1278.3MHz - 8-11-7-28-77-1 - ASUS M5E - Patriot Sector 5 19200C9 2G x 2 - 1.81 - stock air

I am going crazy... my PP suxx !!!!!
Fresh installed WinP SP3 with disabled services, rest stock
1200MHz 8-11-7-28-80-1N
Over 5GHz Core clock
LSC active
Maxmem 600MB
So no special tweaks, but performance should be better. I expecting simething around 6min30s.
Attachment 129567
Board is a Maximus V Extreme BIOS 0401... I checked all BIOS settings, but no idea what happen here...
The only thing is maybe, that there is only one core available... but this makes not that big difference.
Any ideas t improve the PP?
Thanks!
PS: nice score here... sick PP... I am not aiming for 6min17s, Pi is not our favorite benchmark...
I had a BIOS bug and CPU prefetch/cache was disabled all the time. After reflashing version 0401, which was faster then 0020 for me, all is fine now... lost two days of testing with this stupid bug :-)
i try to compare my 2400 Team set to your 2600,i was able to get the identical timings but my numbers are way off ,i don't think stripped OS would make that much difference ..any idea ??

There can and probably will be a million reasons, for starters, you're on Win 7.
Like zuse says there are many things that influence your time.... I've never been much into Pi but this challenge got me hooked. If you look through this thread you will see my times tumble as I learned & tested new things over months..... that gives you an idea of what or how many tweaks I learned/tested.
Your 6m32.536 with LV2400's & 1.71v looks good to me.
Some say a stripped OS don’t make much of a difference....... I don’t really know much better but once I stripped XP 32 Bit SP3 & killed almost all services except themes, PnP, DCOM to get XP to run 25~30MB com charge she imo was ffffin fast. I stripped XP using nlite... took everything out I didnt need just for super pi. The result was XP 32 Bit SP3 weighing in at about 80MB!!!! This made once tweaked with LSC, background services etc about 9 seconds gain over W7.
Wazza size, buildup & how you run it is also for me anyway worth more than 3 seconds....... so there u have it give it a go.
If you want a hand PM me .
You welcome
Oh yeah what Zen said..... test each core (affanity) 0,1,2,3 one or two will be fast & with a bit of luck one of those may also like low volts...
My best cores are 1 & 2 but 1 runs stronger/less voltage so I can just set 2 core in BIOS & save some volts
Dumo - 6:21:953 - 50x100 - 1200MHz - 6-11-7-27-88-1T - MVE - Gskill Blue 2133C9/PSC - 1.96v - air

another 2.0v on air ...nice score Dumo
