its all to do with light and the materials you use. the deeper the tube the more blue it will look. All cameras cannot pick up the colours correctly all the time and you will find that that looks deeper in real life than on the film.

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=260324
hehe. mate i cannot rush some thing into production that hasn't been fully tested.Im sure even your self would rather know that what you get is going to work 100% then not working at all and blocking your water cooling system.
With the new 9 stage filter system i just bought this will help in the production of the coolants and liquids to no end.
Yeah take your time np :)
Hey Mlwood37!
I finally got around to setting up a new loop to use your dyes. I really like the dark blue you sent, however I am still concerned with the UV dye you sent and do not feel comfortable using it.
I posted about this before here, this dye is separated and will not mix up

It has always been stored at about 70F and since day one it has been unable to be mixed. It used to mix a little bit, but now does not at all.
These images are taken after about 10 minutes of shaking it up trying to mix it, as you can see the particles are not mixing at all. I'm sure if I could put it into something larger to smash the particles up it might mix up, but I can't do that and shouldn't have to.
Sorry about the image quality, I don't have a very good camera right now and it's hard to image this with the one I am using.

http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/6457/dye2.jpg
For now though they are just hard pieces that wont mix. So I am scared to even put this in my loop, for one what if this happens in my loop? And two, I assume the UV factor of it is all in the particles, so I am loosing a lot of the intended look since it was never mixed up and I can't mix it.
What should I do, or is there anything you can do? I am not asking for freebies or anything, but a new bottle would be great as long as it does not do the same thing.
Previously you mentioned weather may have been the cause, it's not hot here in my house and never is, so I'm not sure how that could affect it? Besides, it arrived in this fashion as well, so I don't see the temps being a factor other than during shipment.
Hi there ill get some of the new UV Clear blue sent out to you. we switched to a new UV clear blue ( this is a pure optical brighter) quite a while back as one of the older sets we used seem to gone this way. we pulled all the stock and binned it all.
the same goes for any one else who sees this problem we will replace it. Its only happened to the older stock of UV clear blue that we made when we first started using optical brighter and we changed it to a purer version. We complained to out manufacturer who didn't help us at all so he got binned and we now go direct to source and we've had no problems what so ever since.
Send me you address and ill ship some out to you straight away. i do apologise about this matter and it wont happen again.
Thi is the new UV clear blue -
http://www.wcdyes.com/Shop/17-205-th...-5ml-clear.jpg
You can see its totally different.
Awesome to hear it's been fixed now! I was thinking maybe I got a bad batch or something when I asked before, guess you just had not seen the issue enough to know it wasn't just me.
Thanks for your quick reply on this matter, and being able to offer a nice solution!!
Any pics of the new UV Clear Blue under UV anywhere yet?
Ya, it does look very different than the older batch. I even had the old sticker on the bottle, not your new designs, so it could have been very old?
Pm coming, and thanks again!
To be real honest i should have said sooner about this and it did slip my mind. when you pointed it out the first time. How ever we did resolve the problem and i should have got back to you. There was no excuse for me not to.
The pictures of UV clear Blue are up on our site if you go to the 5ml sections. Its a little stronger than the one you had by about 20% but as per normal its not the easiest colour to take a picture of.
Youll notice as well in all the dyes we sell you can see where we get the dyes from which is Italy as the Indian company we were first dealing with .... well lets say there first batches of dyes were perfect. the second batches were allot left to be desired. We pay a little more for the dyes now but to be honest i dont care because at least i know that the product will be the same every time now.
Double post sorry.
No worries about not getting back to me, I know you are very busy and have many plans and tests, ect going on - so it's not a big deal really.
I am glad I asked though, I thought about just using it and see how things went. I'm glad I asked :)
Great, I'll check out your site to see the pics. Ya, UV is kinda hard to shoot, many other colors are sometimes too.
Well thanks again for being able to do something about this for me so quickly!
I look forward to trying the new UV, and I'll for sure be a repeat customer and send anyone asking about dye's your way!
Nice, I see you have silver coils now too, that's great to see them at such a decent price too!
Nice work on the website and adding new materials, I'm going to have to order some things here soon from you again!
Dont order any thing yet lol wait till you see what you get in the post !!!
Mick
its oky any time :).
when will you have jager-favored coolant?
what is jager !!!!
Ive got a mint green sitting on my desktop right next to me lol.
Jager is evil......very very evil. But it will get you plastered.
Sent from my X10a using Tapatalk
its looks like coca cola on there site. is that what you mean.
Cos if you after that's easy to create. how ever i dont think it would be a good seller ....
I presume this is the colour you mean just quickly knocked it up for you.

just screwing with you. my three current projects use Blood red, white, and UV green. all easy stuff.
Well some good news we are now producing 0-TDS liquids. The parts arrived today and I am just missing a in-line meter but my hand held meter after re calibration measured the water at 0-TDS.
So we are now Producing a Ultra Pure H20 liquid.
Any how me being me and i like to test what i make my self had to go a head and taste it after it had finished producing a batch. The liquids taste disgusting, never has some thing so pure tasted so terrible.
How ever im not producing drinking water im producing water cooling fluids ;) ....
Im going to start Looking into buying a induction sealing cap system with in the next few months so that the bottles all can be pre sealed. So that Not only will all the liquids come With Filler Caps and Child Safety caps we will hopefully make the bottles fully sealed from my little factory line.

Don't forget we have a Face Book group here ->
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Mayhem...54035954628896
Please join it and spread the word. Every little helps.
And last but not least we soon wont be a home made suppler I've been visiting little mini warehouses were i can work from.
We would like to announce that http://watercooled-pcs.co.uk/ are now stocking Mayhems dye products as of today. this is our 2nd UK distributor and were glad to say another fine water cooling Product supplier.
We only have 2 more places left for the UK after that we wont be taking any more on in the UK as not to flood the market.
Our Colour range is growing nicely.
I would like to introduce you to a new Pre-mixed colour Oil Black.
This is a deep dark Black colour with a slight tint of green to it. (just like oil). The reason why i have made this colour as ive been looking though what blacks are out there and i think personally this defiantly is the best black on the market and is much better than any thing else. Its only going to be released as a pre-mix how ever as its very hard to control as a Pure dye.
this does have a UV additive as well so will glow a blueish colour under UV.
Pics below :) -
http://www.wcdyes.com/Shop/75-280-th...-oil-black.jpg
http://www.wcdyes.com/Shop/75-281-th...-oil-black.jpg
These will be available from http://www.specialtech.co.uk in the next few days.
gratz on the Watercooling Oil, going to have to make a new thread called Little Mini Warehouse made Dyes?
All i can say is if i wasn't single now i dont think any women would be impressed at all.
Like the oil black. Though the intensity of the color concerns me a bit. How bad are the stains it leaves?
The stain is not to bad to be honest. Its like the UV deep purple and UV deep blue. If you change every 9 to 12 months you'll be fine as long as the PH balance is correct.
To mix your own with dye you will need the following.
8 drops of Deep Purple
10 to 15 drops of yellow
5 drops of UV clear Blue to 1 Ltr of fluid.
the only problem you will have is you'll only be able to order it though one of my re sellers as pre-mix now as we have problems sending things abroad in small shipments. We only send the dyes out world wide as the pre mixed liquids and Water costs to much. when your quote Ģ21.00 shipping for 3 bottles its time to say no.
If a re-seller doesn't have stock of that item ask them to get some in.
this is under testing atm. Had to change power supply out when photo was taken. New power supply should be here today.
http://i2.sqi.sh/s_1/3G3/dscf7591.jpg
as you can see there is a nice heat killer in there (thks http://www.specialtech.co.uk/ )
So we can test for brake down of this new fluid. Its slightly blue the fluid due to the fact of me previously testing blue dye in the rad and forgetting to flush it out pmsl. How ever it wont effect the performance of the fluid what so ever. :).
This is the new White HBN-70 High heat transfer fluid under testing. Other wise know as liquid white graphite that im developing.
Nice colour !
i am digging the black and white. looking good man!
thks, tests are going very well with temps and ever thing but it going to need long term testing , lots of on and off testing and temp control testing ect ect
Couple more picture shots.

This again is a cheap built test system for the new fluids.
HBN-70 White Graphite liquid get to go out for a few days

Aqua Tuning testing the HBN-70 White Graphite Liquid to the max all so in there is the new unrealised Coke coloured dye ..... this is the first time HBN-70 White graphite has see the light of day and apparently its getting a good hammering by some hot chick.... down at the i41 lan party in the UK. Looking at the shot the hot chick aint phasing the liquids at all ;) .....
Allso here is a Vis of the liquid and how it looks after a few days of standing still and how well it mixes :) ..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWTDZK7Z9ow
Nice pics...lol
On another note, I remember a thread by you showing how to clean stains. I cant seem to find it anymore....
And how many drops of the dye do we need for a 1/2 liter loop. I tried with 4-5 drops, but the color was still a bit pink instead of red, since then have drained it to retry, although it still has a pinkish tint to it now..
Erm the guides are here mate - http://www.wcdyes.com/Shop/content/8-mixing-guide
I dont understand neither what colour are you making. If its UV red it will always have a Pinkish tone to it as UV red has UV pink in it. If its red alone then it should not be pink, if its UV pink well that again is a pink colour.
Guess what landed on my door step to day .. :) time to play ....

It will have to be put to the side for a few days though while i scrounge some extra cooling parts for the pc.
I have a stupid simple question.I already have primochill steel blue in my loop. And i want to add if posible some UV to my loop.So the questtion is easy:Can i add your colorants with no risk to the primochill?.thank you in advance.
to make it blue you can add UV clear blue into it with out any problems.
Its fine for CPU usage depending on how well its can cope these are test samples to see how things goes. remember the thermal effect of these are very good in comparison to some products ..
Yes it certainly is :) ...
www.wcdyes.com will no longer be selling the dyes or liquids though our shop you will need to use our resellers.
Our web page will soon be changing as well .
Our reseller page is here - http://www.wcdyes.com/Shop/content/6-resellers
If any other shops are interested in stocking our line of products please contacts us using the contact us form. We have only 1 more slot left for the UK.
I broke down my loop prior to installing a GPU and second rad. Inspection of the CPU block showed nothing but normal oxidation. Primochill tubes all seemed fine, with no difference between old and new tubes just added. Some minor residue at the water line of the res was the only thing I saw, and was probably not related to the biocide or UV clear blue dye. Good stuff!
Hey Mick Any new News about Nano Fluids ?
Hi guys just some new i know i haven't been around alot.
Im currently working now full time all over the Uk for a company (im spending alot if time in hotels) but have now taken on a employee whom im teaching every thing about water that i know. Any way Nano fluids are still under test and wont be out until testing is complete (white fluids any way) there are a few others as well under test. This all takes time and the tests we use are not simple 5 min jobs it takes me months to properly test them.
Ill no longer be supplying the public only resellers as i dont have the time to do small batch runs as such and am looking at having the web site changed when i can afford it. unless some one know so one who can do its cheaper and better lol ...
I cannot answer questions about free samples or making new colours as i dont have the time to do this. Most of the info can all ready be found in this treat or the tuts on my site.
Reviews well come on guys the most you'll pay is Ģ4.50 for a retail one ..... ive handed out enough in the past for free to supply 1/2 the community with hardly any feed back :0. I know the product works so does the public :) ... need i say more ....
Al lso just because the VAT in the UK has risen ill be keeping the prices the same but its upto the re seller to adjust there prices to match not me.
Any way happy new year guys and i wish you all the best for this new year.
If your local stockers doesn't have products get them to contact me though my site and get it in stock .. this is not a expensive product and wont cost them a arm and a leg. All so its not a item that will change every 5 min :) ...
Hey guys, i was wondering why there is nothing new in this thread and so i visit Micks Website and saw this:
Important announcement : 30/01/2011
Michael has been in a car crash and is in hospital at the moment. Mayhems dye will be closed until he is out. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
http://www.wcdyes.com/Shop/
:(
All best wishes to Michael from here to the UK and i hope that he gets better very soon !!
is your keyboard defective ? just to write: thanks for the info, but there is already a thread informing about this
Like i said, itīs ok for me when you donīt like the way iīm testing, 98% of the users like the way how i and other testers in the EU make their reviews and so all is good ! For myself i donīt like some reviews from other testers, which are sure nice for some "freaks", but not readable for many "normal" users - i release my reviews in 20+ forums worldwide and there are always users which have some constructive comments and suggestions, or critics, which is ok and good ! But the difference between you and them is: they are typing in a friendly positive way and in a CONSTRUCTIVE style and not like a 6 year old kid, which has lost his teddybear. Just try to accept, that there are many testers, that are not testing the way you like it, but always typing the same comments is just boring and donīt needed. Other example: The product presentation (Res.) from cartago2202. He spent a lot of time in making the pics, to show some different type of backgrounds and watercolors. The only Reaction from you was a "rolleyes smiley" Why not typing "thanks for your work but i hate all from phobya" lol ....or just typing NOTHING at all !? " and that your favorite brands came from the US and youīre a brave patriotic us guy. Always a good tip is: make a test for yourself, or just some proper photos (not like the ones from your little Res. "review") and you will recognize, how many work and time it needs. And: We got it, that you prefer reviews with spectacular looking resultcharts which "surprisingly mostly came to the same results like other tests with "simple" charts. The other thing is, always when you see products from Phobya, or some other companies, which are based in Germany, it must be a red flag for you and we always can see comments from you where one is like the other...always in the same style. Thatīs nothing but spam and the companies donīt care about it, they are just amused. Nowadys even your favorite tester skinnee will test products from Phobya, he already has the Nova 1080 Extreme radiator and other products from Phobya for testing.
I want to send this via PN, but you donīt accept private mails
hello.
I just came out of hospital the other day but have a small problem with my memory which im trying to deal with. I will get mayhems dye up and running asap once i am in full health. Im sorry for this inconvenience this may have caused.
So one some were just realised that mayhems dye is only done by me this is totally correct as i do it all by my self with some help off my children (stickers ect ect) this is why mayhems dye had to close down while i was in hospital.
All so if you wondering why i was in there a polish trucker decided that his artic lorry looked nice parked up my ass literately at 60 Mph on the moto way. needless to say the car is a complete write off and his bumber was in the back of my head when they recovered me from the car. Apparently the air bag did more damage then the crash (not that i know or remember).
I will post on the web site once i have every thing up and running again how ever this maybe a few good weeks before i can do this.
Take care all for now and will post soon.
allso thank you for the good wishes (all though im a little embarrassed that i dont know who half of you are and will have to re read this whole tread) (my lass pointed me to it).
take care all and watch out for dumb ass lorry drives on there mobile phones ....
Mick, take it easy and don't push yourself too soon.
Sending positive vibes your way M8. :)
+2 take it easy
i just got some Deep Blue in today from P-PC's and the bottle they have in there pic just doesn't do it justice. love it though
@ WL & bundy be nice to each other or ignore each other. pick one, we dont care which
Its taken a Long time to decide this and its a shame but due to recent events Im closing mayhems dye down for the moment. Sorry to any one ive let down but this is not some thing i have taken likely. good luck to every one involved and thank you to all that have helped. good bye for now.
Best of luck to every one in the water cooling industry. I do have some coils and dyes left over form the past (and shoot load of equipment) how ever i dont know what do to with them.
I may auction it all off with the money going to a charity that support my autistic daughter.
Mick
mlwood37: Ouch. Disappointed to hear that. Good luck in your life and with your daughter's health.
BTW, have you considered selling recipes of your currently developed dyes to some big LC vendor (and/or maybe methodology of developing/testing new ones) for at least current products to still be available for that part of LC community that got used to buying/using them in their loops?
to be honest i did nothing special and this can be done by an vendor who doesn't what to take the micky and just go back to basics and not water down there products to a point were they are just ripping people off.
If people would like the mixes and amount i used i can post them up with out a problem. My testing methodology was simple "Time" that's all it was. Lots of time and a few Very strong UV multi spectral lights to test the UV aspects of the dyes and a PC microscope to check for partials. I used 4 water cooled PCs as well running very hot and cold to check for biomass build up.
As for the filtering process for the dyes well this is were wine making knowledge comes into it :) .... Its amazing how well wine filters (pressurised 0.5 micron filters) do :) ...
The only real thing for me was the let down from the UK manufactures of a radiator that i developed which was totally different and a In-line silver filter system. Both of these items were supposed to go into full production but due to rising costs and the UK government rising the VAT to 20% caused these items to be no goers as the would have not been value for money which is a dammed shame.
these were just some of the factors involved plus the fact that my personal circumstances have changed a lot in the last few months and my memory has gone a bit hay wire.
If how ever if a company would like to take a interest in my past work and would like to carry on the goal of producing out standing and value for money product , liquids and dyes and would like to talk to me i would be willing to help point them in the right direction.
Hi Mayhem,
It's rather odd that I picked today, the day you responded to this thread, to sign in.
I sent you a PM. I wish you the best...
Hoping the very best for you and your daughter...
Sorry to see you go Mick but, you got more important things to worry about...do what you gotta do and come back when your able. Best wishes.
I just wanted to let everyone know that I spoke with Mick and it looks like we will probably be restarting the line of dyes under my brand. A couple resellers had approached me with concerns about sourcing his dyes (as well as concerns about Mick himself), and so I decided to see what I could do without stepping on his toes.
I just wanted to let everyone know that they should be available again, and also that Mick will definitely be compensated for the work he has done, even though he offered this for free. I won't make money from someone else's work without making sure they get their share. I had originally planned to re-develop a line myself, but there is just no need to put in the countless hours of work when Mick is willing to help and has already come up with proven formulas.
Don't expect this to happen instantly, as I have a couple orders to wrap up with other customers first, but it will be in the very near future.
Good job/resolution, iandh & Mick .
I don't use dyes myself but often seen these suggested for getting relatively problem free colored coolant compared to some premixes, so it's good thing for good product to still be available in this hobby.
Excellent news IandH.
Great to hear that Iandh! Take your time, we can do without dyes for a couple of weeks. Unlike some other dyes, these actually last longer than 10 days :p:.
And Mick, best of wishes to you and your family :). I'm really glad those great dyes of yours won't be lost after all ;).
Hey iandh, you ever consider partnering with Mayhem for dyes? His location is a problem, he probably knows what I'm talking about... I'm assuming you're in the US, iandh?
I'm in the US. The thing is, I think he just wants to take care of himself right now and not have things like this to worry about, which I can totally relate to, having been in nearly exactly the same situation at one point in my life.
The main reason I am doing this was because I was asked to do so, so that people still have these dyes available. This isn't going to make me rich, that's for sure.
I know the reasoning behind it now, but both of your products have similar popularity and it'd be an interesting combination.
Mick, best of wishes from our entire crew! Great stuff!
I spoke to a few people and they said that they believe it may be better to still call the dye line "Mayhem" but under my brand name as the manufacturer. The reason is because these dyes are known by that name, and changing it would probably only serve to obscure/confuse customers.
I need to run it by Mick to get his approval for that, but assuming he is Ok with it, the dye will stay pretty much the same besides slight changes to the label reflecting the new company contact info.
Take care of yourself Mick, Not that you know me. But I always appreciated your candor in answering the same question and debunking the same bs time and time again.
Your patience was evident in your business and I hope you have the same patience attending to yourself.
Get well bro, and get back to us no sooner than you're ready.
Xtreme recovery wishes from this penguin.
edit: I had a huge misunderstanding with Mick. I've edited out this post to say that things are back on track, and it appears that we've patched things up.
For UK buyers.
Last stock of Mayhems Dye product's are going on ebay (under the name wcdyes) and all profits go to red noise day and any reaming profits go to the place that give my daughter rest bite. Once its gone its gone !!!!
Still dont know if ill put up the 4 proto type rads i had made .. will have to wait and see.
Mick transferred the information I needed, so I am going to get started on researching suppliers, etc.
As mentioned before, I have a couple obligations to take care of before I can go into production, but I will do so as soon as I possibly can.
Once I have all of the proper info back to Mick, the two of us can work out all of the nitty-gritty details.
I'd like to thank Mick, I'm happy to carry this on for him.
nice looking, but also a nice way to kill you watercooling loop..
Oky officially from me now.
I&H is the only person / Company with full permission from me to use my name and have my mixes for the dyes and any thing else to do with what i was developing for the community.
He has my full confidence in bringing the products forward to you guys and i suspect will produce better products than i did.
As from this point on wards i will no longer be dealing with dyes any more or answering any more questions you will need to point them all in I&H's direction.
To every one whom every helped me and to every one who believed in what i have done thank you.
To ALL the water cooling community (this is companies and users and developers) my best wishes go forward to you all.
To all the well wishers once again thank you.
To the UK government - your a bunch of greedy ass holes ....... :) no wonder this countries economy is buggered
www.wcdyes.com now redirects to its new home :)
Uploaded this Video today :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uV3yO1xnoc8
Wish you all the best Mick :)
Thanks Mick, for letting me carry on the torch.
I need a few more weeks to get things caught up from when I was sick, and then I'm going to get a fresh start and begin to accept orders on this.
I still getting emails about the dyes from peeps my self how ever im pointing every one in your direction now mate.
Im selling my remaining stock on ebay atm. how ever ts to slow so may offer them up as a bulk by to any one interested as i just what it all shifted.
check your pms mate there is a few there for you with info on what you need and whom to contact. It maybe passable to direct import the items direct to your self with the correct COSH sheets :) ..
Thanks Mick, I got all of your PM's.
Really excited to be able to pick some up stateside. I burned through a bottle of red already between 3 PC's and now it's time for mine to get some awesome blood red water. :)
Keep up the good work you two!
It will be nice to have this readily available in America. I also have some other tricks up my sleeve for dye users, but that's going to have to wait. ;)
I'll do my best to keep this available to customers in Europe... the ball is pretty much in the reseller's court. If you would still like to be able to purchase Mayhem's dye from your favorite reseller, be sure to let them know. Otherwise, they won't know there's a demand, and I won't know which stores I should be trying to stock at.
Is there any ETA on availability in north america?
Thanks
and europe? none of the known eu shops stock them, ive sent them emails saying im itnerested, but they told me that there isnt enough demand for it... yet!
I would reallllly like a blue one lol sooon, are there still any available on ebay?
If your based in the UK ill put some blue ones up how ever there isnt may left now.
Sorry wont send any abroad now sick to death of customs and there ability to lose parcels all the time, cost me way to much money in the past esp when they lose 200 bottles.
wcdyes on ebay. there were every thing is being sold from ive got more to go up in the next few days.
Any news concerning the cooperation between mayhems dye and I&H and other resellers? Because I've ordered two bottles of Mayhems Biocide 5ml by Aquatuning (Germany) in January 2011.
how is your daughter's machine holding up? temps still good?
