There is more to BTX than that actually. The layout of the mobo is a little different as well. What he has is just an inverted BTX or, if you like, BTX wannabe :p:Quote:

very nicely done there, love the attention to wiring, making it neat is good!
+1 like it too
PS Want a VC like that :(
Nice work. I like your anti-vibration HDD mounting system too.
What is the point of the 'blower' fan? What is it cooling?
@Bryants97240sx
actually somethings different in real BTX
my systems arrangement is closer to btx
@Blackpitty
i like yor cases and hdd location replacement
nice job!!!
sorry for my bad english....

do you mean the small fan behind the HDD-before the board? (of asus?)
Yeah I think so. I just had another look at a different pic and realised it is open at the back and I guess blowing air over your sound card? When I first looked at it, and thinking that blower fans like that usually blow air out sideways, perpendicular to the fans rotation, I was confused. :)
That is a radial fan, blows laterally out. air blows exactly against the cooler under the graphic card on the board.
Got it. I couldn't make out any exhaust port on the sides.

What's powering your rear-lower 80mm fans? I don't see any connectors on the mainboard or the wires tucked behind mobo tray. Or are they just too hard to see in that picture?Quote:

Here is my most recent build. Parts were pulled from several systems laying around the house to build what i call my Duo RAID 0 Encoding machine. This unit runs 24/7 downloading, ripping, encoding and burning movies, music and files that are then transferred to my 4 Tyrabyte server.
System Specs
Lian Li V1000 case
PCP&C 510
Asus P4C800E Delux
Intel P4 3 at 3.6
2 Gigs Corsair xms4400
Sapphire X800XTX Platinum
2 Raptor 74's RAID 0
2 Western Digital 250's RAID 0
Plextor PX-760A
Toshiba 1712 Speed Hacked
X-FI Fatal1ty
Danger Den Maze 4 on CPU & GPU
Chrome BIX 120
Ehime 1250 Pump
The entire system was tuned using SilentX 120 fans and runs near silent.

A Lot of "dremel" masters arround here XD
Awesome work. I love the cut outs. Glad to see someone else likes SilenX fans also, as no one seems to believe me.
Well there are actually 2 silenx fan types out there. What we have in the states is this:
http://www.silenxusa.com/productcart..._fan_12025.jpg
Taken from silenxusa.com. It looks like a basic 120mm fan and people have said they aren't as quiet as they say.
Now look at this:
http://www.silenx.com/ixp-74-front-large.jpg
Taken from silenx.com. Same company, but at silenx.com there is no USA link, and those fans cannot be found here in the USA. They are definitely designed differently though, with more of a forward sweep in the blades, a smaller motor, and it looks like maybe a little more of an aggressive angle to the blades. While there isn't anything certain as to how the two compare it is entirely possible that the ones we are stuck with in the USA are louder than the ones outside of the USA. *CORRECTION* Ananvel0 pointed out they can be had at frozenCPU.com.
Just something that someone in the aircooling section pointed out.
Now I don't want this to turn into a discussion on how crappy silenx may or may not be, I just thought I'd throw this out there for some to think about. I am in no way advocating using silenx fans, I think they are too pricey ;)
Ask and you shall receive. Here is the link to where I get my SilenX fan at, and they are in America. http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l3/g36/...enX-Page1.html
I stand corrected :)
Here is my rig. Now an Akasa Eclipse and a 8800GTS inside.

^ Nice rig!, how come you have the Tuniq seated the other way around?
cause the antec nine has the big fan on top.....???
fragtek, what are your cpu temps?
yeah the 200mm fan on top moves 134cfm of air so the temps are better this way.
Just got some new stuff in..

yes , the x1950xtx is noisy if you use the ati tool contorl fan feature,
but i agree , is a damn good card, the collors are stunning at high res
nice rig,

Well, with the holidays over and that got me my last stuf for this rig, here are my pics.
Thermaltake Armor, 3 * 120mm fans, 2 * 92mm fans. 4 UV CCFL's, UV reactive cables. And best thing is, some parts of my DS4 seem to light up with UV light.

Yeah, those 2 musketeers are nothing but eyecandy, but I'm a sucker for analog gauges. Took me 3 months to get that Musketeer 1 in black. Proud of my rig.
Except the stock cooler, the Scythe Ninja doesn't like my CPU (unequal IHS problem) but a Arctic Freezer Pro is on the way and should tackle that problem.

Well, if you mean me, here we go:
And, I know some of you will chuckle about the Coolit, but it works quite well. I replaced a DangerDen loop I was using and it is actually working just as well. Of course, I modified it with a 120 mm fan and removed the stock 92 mm. I also bypassed all the automated items and tuned the pump settings, etc myself. So in quiet mode, at 3.2 GHz, which is where I game with it, it idles around 32C. Crank up the fan, and the temps drop a bit to around 28C.

dremel a few places to route cables since p180 is so restricting on cable managementQuote:

My P180 looks like crap inside. If you can get any shots of the dremel holes from the back and any tape jobs that would be great. I have a p180 with the corsair 620. Being very close to yours would be nice to know how to make it nicer.
That has to be the sexiest case I have ever seen. Bravo.Quote:

Nice blue, very nice except for that one purplish/pink light that throws off the rest.
Side note: Where did you pick up the OCZ XTC Ram Cooler?
Lagoom.com has them.
Yeah, I've been meaning to place some black electrical tape over that purple light. It's actually on the motherboard under the "ASUS" logo.Quote:

Xion X2 how did you get the rad mounted in the top of your case like that? it looks very neat, did you mod it yourself?

Thanks. Yeah, they're Lian Li aluminum casters.
@T1
Thanks. I bought the case from www.performance-pcs.com and had them custom mount the rad in the top like that before they shipped it to me. Everything else I did myself.
