heh :D just need to find a moment in which i'm not procrastinating.. ;)
i read/looked through all those pages and there are definately some über-Xtreme setups shown :slobber: coo thing to be here =)
not overly extreme, but does bench with the 939's....and hey, it's almost all low-quality thermaltake, down to the ram heatspreaders! :stick:
cadaveca - The first picture reminds me of the good ol' days when I used to go to raves and techno clubs. :D
Merlin - By the way, welcome to XtremeSystems! :toast:
thx :toast:
cadaveca, "....and hey, it's almost all low-quality thermaltake, down to the ram heatspreaders!"
that sounds like you think thermaltake produces crap? judging by your 05 score @stock cpu(why?) and the pics that surely is relative, right? ;) i would be happy to have such a clear watercooling setup (or any g) :)
Thermaltake stuff is crap. It's the abit/asus stuff that is good. Thermaltake block nets me 30c idle with CNQ and 52c @ full load...stock volts. @ RMA's on one sub-$150 kit is no good. (and one CPU that foes not get overclocked often.)
'05 score with stock CPU because lower latency gets me a higher score that high fsb. CPU score is not of much importance in '05. I can get higher scores than some people with higher clocks in '05/'03 with FX 55's because of this.
Yes, there are enough lights that i do not need any other lighting in my livingroom w/ the pc on. If you saw the sound system i have hooked up, you'd understand how close you were to the truth about the rave thing you are! LoL.Quote:

the rad and pump of the kit are ok...not as efficient as some others, but enough for the job. 2 120mm rads are enough to deal with heat form both the gpu and cpu, with fans at low. The koolance GPU block works really well, and i have the koolance athlon64 block as well, but have yet to install it. It should give me better temps, although this cpu was hot at the start...63c while priming @ stock w/ stock cooling. I had to send back both the cpu block (inlets cracked after 1 month @ full load), and the pump arrived broken, and i won't tell you how cheaply they make they pump...it's really a shame. But i bought the kit for looks, not for performance...it's quiet, and that's all that matters. Getting a puddle of coolant on my X800 was not very nice tho.
hope your x800(xt!) is still doin' fine then! (i once spilled sum applejuice on my mobo while running (caseless), didn't even crash :D) speaking of x800xt.. you should consider buying a better pump, those ~40 bucks would be reasonable.. (36€ get's you serious quality, silent 600l/h in germany; 'eheim')
i suppose its a 130nm a64, but still, 63c... dang, that's really hot  would never do that, not even to my tbred.
the inlets of the cpu block cracked ?! sounds REAL bad, never heard of that b4..
anyway, let's get back to topic again ^^
Dale, is that rig built into the wall? I also like the frame around it!Quote:

Im having a Gin&Tonic (or six?) and tuning my new GPU Cooler. Its a 12ccm Embraco FFI 12HBK with a baker GPU evap.
I have started to collect components for a casacde, but its expensive. It takes time.
Results of the tuning:
50/50 - r404/r507 - Load from 85w TEC. I need a Fluke, cause my 20$ thermometer cant read temps below -50c. It just shows LLL.
At this point the display shows LLL

rofl.. solid coper ramsinks, that's awesome! They would actually still work, they would have about 5x the surface area of just the chip on its own. Must weigh the card down, though. I just have a stock AMD socketA cooler on my 9800pro and it occasionally decides to pop itself partially out of the agp slot because of the extra weight.
Actually not solid copper. They are finned OCZ ramsinks they way they are facing all you see is solid lol.Quote:

I LOVE mine... my CPU stays almost as cool as a low end water cooling setup. lol. like the CPU is 37c when the system temp is 37c! lol... it's 34c when the ambient temps are cooler.. typically it's the same or 1 degree warmer tham the system temp. :)
Like the Ferarri badge :) Very clean install. what case is that?
Yes on the hyper 6 badge is ferrari
My systems temps are idle 35, load 45

i get same results at 2850mhz
whole thing cost me under $10 and took less than a week to perfect.
i have a -50c Drewmeister DD-X Ultra unit coming next week to make some incredable results. the 2850mhz shown in the screenshot was stable on water and i havent messed with the clock in this box as of yet. i just finished it last night so i havent had a chance to play yet.
am i Xtreme yet?
^whoa what is that? Can you explain what yo have going on?
I'd like to know more things about that system too! Seems pretty interesing :p:
If I'm not mistaken, he made an airsealed case, and put inside a room-aircoolingunit :)
So his case is cooled with the power for a whole room :toast:
yep thats correct ZMarre. its a 5000btu window a/c unit and i put the evaporator inside an airtight box. since its airtight you dont have to worry about condensation. the system runs at -20c as in pic but i saw -26c the other day. thats with the 200watt cpu and 100watt gpu dumping heat into the box. when i get the cpu DD and the gpu chiller i should see even better temps!
the cool thing is my ram stays really cold and i gained another 5mhz on my redline xp4000 hehe
