At 230 FSB (AXP 1600+ @ 8.5*230), Dual Channel, 5-2-2-CL2 i only get :

I think that's a little low for that fsb/timing, what's the best bios for 8RDA+ ??

8rda+ has a performance bug with multiplier under 10!!!
try multi 10 or higher.
with 225 dc and multi 10 i have 3500 mb's!!!
Henry, would you consider those score about right if they were 5% higher? You take about a 5% hit on memory performance for having the multiplier set below 10. That may be your problem.
As far as what's the best BIOS for the 8RDA+, can't say since I have a non-plus.
BTW, nice oc of the FSB. :)
For the best BIOS out, I have found the newest one to be the best. I have prettyy much tested them all and the newest one has given my the best stability and best memory bandwidth.
8RDA3129.BIN
*Still has the issue when using 10.5x and below though, just not as bad as the previous BIOS's*
Hmmm......so < 10 multiplier is the problem. Time to buy a new Tbred B i think :)
Thanks guys !! :toast: :toast:
actually...10.5x and below...
IC, thanks glock19owner :)Quote:

Yeahh...i know that bandwith is low, even with KX7 @ 215 i can get :

Time to buy Tbred B :D :D
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...&threadid=9924
check it out!!
You guys are forgetting something as to why his score is lower than yours....
SisoftSandra's Memory benchmark is heavily CPU dependant...
His chip is at 1955mhz.... While the other guys are in the 2500mhz range
I know this because before I got my XP2100B I was running at 1925mhz and had around 3055/2800.... Now I'm running at 2354mhz and my score jumped to around 3150/2900....
Same FSB, same timings... Only thing that changed was the CPU speed and also the lower multiplier has an even greater hit on memory performance...
213x9 2.5,3,3,6
213x11 2.5,3,3,6
Well, Henry, here's my Epox @ 230MHz SC DDR :p ...Quote:

(BIOS : 3117)
X Men SS great result!!
It's rock solid?
Are you sure you have the ram in the correct slots?
1+2 or 1+3 are for dual.... 2+3 are not.
<10 ( or 10.5 I forget) def. has a bug in it.
muzz : Yup, alredy tried 1-2 and 1-3, same result :(
X_Men : Nice bandwith there :D
But check out spaceboy bandwith :
spaceboy : 11 x 233 ----> 3638/3448
X_Men : 10.5 x 230 ----> 3519/3252
100+ / 200+ mb different with only 3 mhz higher fsb ??
10.5 multi bug ? or coz higher cpu clock ??
It's rock solid @ 225-226MHz ...Quote:

SuperPI, PCMark2002, 3DMark03 all run w/o a problem ... and the NB is still cooled with the stock crappy alu heatsink + 50mm fan :D ... vDDR @ 2.88V
Thanks, Henry :) ! You definitely need T-Bred "B", my friend ... ;)
xmen uses ss mode this is the reason!!!
the bug happens with multiplier under 10!!!!!!
Maybe both ... Also he's running DC DDR which increses the Float score ... :)Quote:

Float defo. go's up with dual.....
Yup, the bug is for multiplier under 10.
My results (same memory timing : 4-2-2-cl2) :
9.5 * 166 : 2463 / 2283
10 * 166 : 2547 / 2391
10.5 * 166 : 2564 / 2412
11 * 166 : 2564 / 2420
Good!! 8RDA+ is great board...unfortunately without a lot of features :mad:Quote:
