thats cool, but i never did care for the kd7 series that much. seemed like it had to many probs for a while.

That's great news:) And I am not surprised. I've built a bunch of boxes for clients based on the KD7 series of boards. It has been the most stable platform I've ever used to date...besting even the KG7 which used to hold top honors from me.

Every board has the potential to make any single user happy or unhappy. But after going through about 30 of these boards without a single warranty call....I cannot be happier.

Many of my original KD7 rigs went out with XP 2100's and slower CPU's. Now I can make a few more bucks by upgrading my clients to Barton with AMDs blessing:) Sweet.

I've been scorned and ridiculed for staying with my "old school" KD7-E as long as I have. So I'm glad to find I am not alone in my opinion of the overclocking prowess of the KD7 boards. Especially an endorsement comming from you my friend:)

Every AMD I own is on a KD7, best mobo i have ever used!

KD7-E, KD7 and KD7-Raid. Run each of these thru the ringer and each has been reliable and provided the top overclocks indeed with AMD. I agree with all my friends here on that count.

Here's to hoping that the best current PERFORMER, the re-fabbed NF7-S indeed finally provided the voltages of the KD7 series, as combining the best voltages with the NF7-S's high bandwidth performance prowess will finally take ABIT to the top with the best of all worlds.

Gotta chirp in here as the KD7 I have is the best I have had since the BH6. It's responsible for a nice o/c I achieved with my unmodded Xp2700+ and is stable at 2880...and posts at over 3g

I know I'm just a silly newbie here, ;) but I love my KD-7. I've had good luck with it, and I just now put in a PAL 8045 and modded the North/South heatsinks. I'm hoping to hit 2400 MHz., once I get my air conditioner fixed. My 3 folding duallies heat my place right up. :rolleyes: ;)

Another "Amen" indeed. I am soooo looking forward to this NF7 board. If it combines the overclockability of the KD7 series with the raw performance and bandwidth of the NF2, it will indeed be the best.

Nice. I want one. or a 8rda+, I have an ASUS nforce2 deluxe, but my sis wants a comp for her, I guess I have my options open. :)

i just dont see how all of you can sport high fsb's on it, and i cant. i seriously dont get it.

would maybe lapping the nb help? anything? im so desperate to get this board over 200 stable, shoot. it wont even do 10x200? is that reasonable?

It really could be a number of things. Just like CPUs, a good overclocking mobo can come down to just luck of the draw. In addition, with only a 1/5 divisor, the rest of your hardware must be up to being pushed a fair bit out of spec. Any component not liking being pushed can hold you back.

What other hardware are you runnin?

The Corsair 3500 looks fine.

The R9700 should be okay up to about the mid 190's. Mine is good to 203, but that seems to be exceptional from what I've read. The 9700 does NOT like high FSB speeds at all. That might be your issue.

What PCI cards do you have?

i just finished the lapping about to boot up. i run no pci cards, also i have a geforce 2 mx. brb

well i lost 2c in temps, and thats about it. gonna mess with it some more tommarow. i set it to 10x200 and it gives me a black windows error - corupt hal.dll, then i gotta lower it.
