My rig: SimpLi, completed!

Well guys its been a long time coming, finally got my loop setup!

The specs:
LRWB Storm G5
AquaXtreme MP-1
Thermochill PA160
AquaXtreme 50Z.

Hardware Spec:
Opty 146
DFI Ultra-D
Sapphire X850XT @ PE clocks.
2*512mb Twinmos CH-5 UTT
Seagate 120GB
Creative X-Fi MusicXtreme

Here is a picture of the bare case, a beautiful Lian-Li PC-61. Notice the front space for the radiator (done as to Marci's guide!) and the small hole on the 5 1/4 bay to allow neater cable wiring.

Next up, the case with basic hardware installed, so I could try tube routing and lengths ready for cutting.

Well I hope you all like it! I know I put the MP-1 before the G5 in the loop, which im still not sure about, but attempting to route it any other way either created kinks or lots of extra distance, so I settled for this being acceptable. Now as a rough guide to you, I found that GPU: Idle, 28. Load, 33. CPU: Idle, 31. Load 35. However thats just a rough read out from MBM and ATItool, in no way accurate.

I like that loop order, keeps it short & simple, and none of the bends are tight. Nice work, if only more people did it like you instead of worrying about shedding the pump heat duimp into the rad and having the cpu before the gpu ¬___¬

haha, I'm not sure if your pointing out the odd colour of the t-line? Unfortunately I ran out of fresh tubing so had to use my old t-line which is a little stained from when the stuff was new... Ah well!

Don't forget the clamps though :)
I was once adviced to use clamps on my tubing but I did not do it and have had no problems either, but it looks risky because the tubing swells up after a couple of weeks...

Im still having a think over clamps, I dont think they are needed on the G5 or the PA160 as the barbs are huge and nothing is going to take them off, similarly with the t barb, thats a tight fit. The MP-1 and the pump are looser so I might put clamps on them though.

I have been looking at getting this case for my next build, and this thread has definitely helped in supporting that idea. Very clean build, and I really like the loop order you chose as well.

i wish i could setup my lian li like that but i got 4hdd and a dvd burner. nice setup. didn't think a pa160 could fit in there. its a pc65b right? is the fan pushing air outside through the rad or pulling air into the case?

Only thing I would change would be to move the pump outlet tubing to the bottom barb on the radiator so the system self bleeds the air.

Bearing in mind the outlet is the top barb on the front, and the bottom barb is at the bottom of the case, exactly how would you connect this? ;) Your adding loads of distance to the loop with your way, which defeats the object to me, wow it selfbleads, wow it doesnt work aswell!

Hehe, yes those barbs are very thick :)

Still, my 7/16 tubing became very 'puffy' after a couple of weeks, and it just doesn't feel very comforting to see that at three locations clamps are not present...

Come on. You swap the tubes over is how you connect it up. The outlet to the pump gets you to the bottom of the case. You can use yout own imagination as to which of the current tubing you would use but the hint would be the one that is under stress at the exit of the GPU. By the way wow it doesnt work as well is also not needed. I think you did a very clean job and my comments were not intended to be picky.

I think you are confused, the outlet of the pump is high up from the bottom of the case, i.e. the top one. The barb under remote stress on the GPU is the INLET. It would be a pain in the arse to have inlet on bottom of rad. :p:

No need for paint . Exchange the MCP-600 outlet tube to the bottom barb of the radiator and the GPU exit tube to the top barb of the radiator. To make the lines smoother you could also exchange the MCP-600 for one of the new Laing DDC-1 Plus T pumps with the Alphacool reservoir. More flow and more head. That will get rid of your T bleeder and again smooth the in case air flow and no I am not being picky.
