New better thernmal paste - STEvil
Compound X will be revealed at the bottom of the post 8-)
Well, its not new, and it isnt actually meant to be used as a thermal interface material, but it sure does KICK ASS.
I have tested it on:
(1)XP 1800+ Palomino @ 1650-1683 1.8v
- Dr. Thermal TiV77n w/ Delta 60 7krpm 38cfm
(2)XP 1800+ Palomino @ 1320 1.75v (230 watt PSU  )
- Chrome orb + 35cfm 60mm thermaltake fan
(3)XP 1700+ T-Bred A @ 1740 1.65v
- Dr. Thermal TiV77n w/ Delta 60 8krpm 41cfm or so
(4)XP 1700+ T-Bred B @ 1812 1.6v (mobo limited 8-/)
- Dr. Thermal TiV77n w/ Delta 60 8krpm 41cfm or so
1 - 35c load 1650, 36c load 1683 (unstable) - AS2/Nanotherm blue
--- 30c load 1683, stable... with compound X.
2 - 55-60c load 1320... AS2/Nanotherm blue
--- 50c load compound X.
3 - 33c load 1740 AS2/Nanotherm
--- 31c load 1812 compound X.
4 - 34c load 1812 AS2/Nanotherm
--- 31c load 1812 Compound X.
1 - Shuttle AK11 rev 3.2 mobo.
2 - Epox 8KTA3 w/ 230 watt PSU. Mobo limited to 120mhz FSB due to psu 8-/ Damn those mosfets get hot!
3 & 4 - Different Epox 8KTA3 w/ 350 watt PSU. Mobo limited to 145 FSB due to ram.. at any settings 8-/
each heatsink and cpu was cleaned with isopropal alcohol between tests. I know they arent perfect tests, but it gives us an idea as to what this stuff can do 8-)
Compound X is:
Permatex Anti Seize Compound (a product of loctite technology).. part number 133H. Ammount: 113g :slobber: Price: $13 CDN :toast:
Links:
I think this is the same stuff.. its in a different bottle, though.. mines fat and shorter.. and only rated to 870deg C.. that stuff goes to 1315deg C!
http://ken-co.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=133H
There is also some copper based stuff out there.. might be even better 8-)
I dont know if it is electrically conductive, though... I have tested it with my digital multimeter and have seen no numbers pop up... but you never know until you run a bit of power or so through it.. 8-)
Is nail polish electrically conductive? Might be good for covering ram leads/gpu tops/whatnot..? 8-)
EDIT
Results comming sometime in the next 3 or 4 days (?) on 1700+ T-Bred B with TiV77n and 7k screamer on 8K3A+ 8-)
Wont have AS2/Nanotherm results, though.. I ran out.. 8-/
EDIT 2
Oops. I thought I put it in the overclocking forum.. shows you what playing loud music to break in a new subwoofer will do to you.. lol 8-)

I remember reading that nail polish eventually becomes corrosive might eat a trace ect ... probably would just trap more heat anyway.
Thats a great find lot's of auto parts stores around, no waiting.:)
Edit: No nail polish isn't conductive, don't know about metalic nail polish though?:)
