R507 single-stage @ - 88.1 *C :-D

Hi

Some weeks ago I got few rotary compressors ...so I decided to make a single-stage unit with one of that devils, to check how they perform :D .

Specs :

Compressor: Sanyo C-1RV137H11AA
evap: chilly1 patern (made in Poland )
holddown: PCV 10mm
XV: CPEV Fach "PZ"
condenser: 1 kW, 2 row, alu-cu, cooled by orginal 230 V fan
Refrigerant : R507
Case : Chipboard case, dimensions 51x39x42 cm, painted black, alu mesh on the front panel

That's stressed with 3000+ Venice @ 3211 MHz on 1.82V ... -55.5*C evap loaded :D (during SuperPI) , CPU around -15 to -18*C .

That's ...hym ..idle ..let's say that's idle - mine CPU has a coldbug when it reach -30*C on CPU, so after 5 second of end of SuperPi run I have got -60*C evap and freezed Windows :eek: ..so really I can't test it in idle ;) I hope will be able to run @ sth like -60*C evap (maybe evan bit lower) idle on simillar CPU like mine .

That unit is currently for sale . :)

I think it should be sth about -50*C on evap loaded with CPU like FX-60 :)

Thats a nice peace of work right there.

Yes I have seen a few single stage units here in -80's with no load and -50's with load. Still damn nice. :toast:

Whats the hp, displacement, power consumption, and noise on that rotary?

Very nice job piotres , i can see that u brazing some metal around [outside] the evap so u can mount the hold down . U can do it more easie -> just drilling around the evap[outside] 2mm and put a safety instead of brazing .

+ So u can remove the safety anytime -> remove the holddown and change insulation <---[example given]

Excellent work! I've been waiting a while to see someone push the SS envelope a bit harder. With all these cascades and DI/LN2 containers floating about, its almost as if people forgot about 'em. :p

Thanks for advice Athens, but with mine way of mounting I can change the brackets easy too ...I'm using seger ring, so I can swap eg. a GPU bracket on the evap in some seconds :) I think that, when You write "safety" You was thinking about a ring around evap, am I right ? :D

Yes it's "K" ... Voltcraft K102 is thermo designed for K-probes only :)

i reckon your idle temps are lower than -29C as my idle temps at 3.5GHz with 1.66v are -31C....shame the CPU can't take it real cold...........that's a monster vcore :eek:

Hehe, during mine phase-change tests I'm always trying to push mine Venice to give the biggest load he can give ...so I always set 1.55V +123% in bios ;)

i think that is the lowest noload temp that i have seem.
Drewmeister still makes the coldest single stage loaded systems though at -60c load hight volts/OC ;)


peter are you entering the autocascade compertition. that thing with some ethylene might hit -100c:woot:

Kayl, yes I'll rather enter to autocascade competition, but begining of July it's the eariest time I'll start work on auto-c ...first I must pass my maturity exam in may, than build a single-stage(s) and 2-stage cascade in June, and maybe in July I'll start work on auto-c ;)

well i didnt reach that temps on my co2 cascade LOL but i can hold the temps better, and with dc
