Has anyone heard of this company or own a system from them? This isn't for me, I have a nice setup already (about to had two Infinity Primus 360's to it:D ) but for a friend. This is their website: www.divincisound.com and if you look on ebay they claim to have $3,000+ systems going for like $100-$200 so I am skeptical.

doesnt come with a reciever... and I doubt you'd want to feed that system 1800w anyways.

And I'd never buy off eBay from someone who either does private feedback or private auctions..In the first case, if they handle things well why are they hiding the feedback?
In the second, a private listing keeps injured parties from contacting each other.IE: He can clip both the buyers and they don't realize that they weren't the only one.;)
Someone please go to the website and look at their pictures. All look strangley chopped, especially the pictures of the facilities. In fact, the chopping is MS Paint I believe ;)

Looks bootleg, all their pdf's and some links are down. Their WHOIS matches their website info, but it can all be bogus.

Have you noticed that they don't have a UK website, yet half of the new speakers in the UK are theirs?
Also - if you search yahoo/google for "Pure-Phonics Pro III Decoder" or any part of that phrase, you come up empty handed.
Searching "woven silk & titanium dome tweeter" brings up only about 3 actual products that are for sale, all around 100-170$, although "woven silk & titanium" is a method of producing tweaters, they don't seem to be very popular, nor is there any history behind it. Plus if they have made it, there would be getting paid royaltees just like DLP & Texas Instruments.
Searching "liquid aluminum dipped cone" or any phrase of it brings up nothing.

I am requesting for eBay to look into these "name brand" products that claim to sell for over 3,000$ but their listings are 100-200$. There are many inconsistencies throughout, and alot of "white/black van" scams reported on this Divinci products. Alot of information may be found over at http://www.scamshield.com/ by searching "divinci scam" or "divinci sound scam".
Their website http://www.divincisound.com, claims that by 1995, their product logo was on 50% of the UK speakers systems, yet there is no UK website, searching their name brings absolutely nothing (google, or yahoo).
They also make outlandish claims; "During the years, our innovative designs allowed movie and music lovers to enjoy new audio technologies like the Pure-Phonics Pro III Decoder. We pioneered the woven silk & titanium dome tweeter and the liquid aluminum dipped cone." Researching these terms either brings me empty handed - or - does not specify who created or engineered the process of example "titanium dome tweeter", which leads me to believe that they are not the creators or proper logo/mentioning would be required in these resources by law, not to mention paying royalty to their product and work by countless companies.
Searching Pure-Phonics Pro III decorder, or liquid aluminum dipped cone, brings zero results in any way shape or form (even using shorter terms brings no results) through google and yahoo search engines.
Finally, looking at their "HQ/Warehouse" (http://www.divincisound.com/door3.gif), and using Google Earth, on their claimed location

apparently DiVinci is a front or subsidiary for/of Precision Sound Systems. tis' a bit questionable, however. Have a look at the buildings at the top of each of the following pages. ;)

The "6.1" Surround sound system isn't worth anything. All white van speaker scam speakers are useful as resale products only.
If you wanna make money off of any of that junk you have to sell it out of your truck/car while pretending to be delivering it yet receiving an extra you don't want your boss to know about.

I actually had some guys almost run me over in white van over a year ago in Bournemouth and then try and sell me some speakers. They also claimed that they had an extra set of 'record studio quality speakers,' delivered. They dived out of the van after jumping it onto the pavement at speed and they did it so quickly I honestly thought they were about to put a bag over my head and then abduct me. But the next thing I know they were waving a floor standing speaker about saying it was worth £2000 for the pair but they would give me a set for £200.
When I told them I had no cash they got a little bit aggro and started telling me to go to the cash point and they would drive me to the nearest one if I liked because otherwise I'd miss out on the deal of a life time. When I said I wasn't interested one of them put his arm around my shoulders and went from being aggressive to being overly friendly as if he had some weird split personality disorder. Eventually in order to make them go away I told them I'd give them £20 for a pair. Surely I thought to myself "no one would say yes to such a stupidly low price."
Oh how wrong I was, they looked at each other for a second and then told me they would take £50 and started to get an incredibly light looking box out of the van. I didn't have £50 on me and I sure as hell didn't want to give them £50 so I did the only thing that I could think of. Whilst they were getting the box out I just ran out into the road and ran home as fast as my tubby legs would carry me.

What a load of bollocks, I've never heard of them and I like to consider myself about 50% audiophile.
No phone number on the contact page = instant suspicion.
Who in Cali can pay their facility a visit?
I live right by there "facility" I am on vacation this weekend but I will do a drive by on Monday for you if you want. Then you will know for sure. Oh and Omega, there are no fences or gates on the warehouse location on Grove Ave. Those locations are a group of warehouses with lots of businesses in them. I think I have seen that place before actually... I think it has a sign on the front of the building that caught my attention one day cause I am a Sound Engineer.
Literally, I work on South Grove Ave... HT Omega facility is a couple streets away too, they let me will call some cards from them when I want :)
lol just realised this thread is super old. But ill still do a driveby and see if I can listen to any of their stuff.
I wouldn't waste your time, there isn't anything you can accomplish even if there is an office there. At best you'll find a non discript bonded warehouse that is only for shipping and receiving, no cash kept on site. Not to mention the fact that there are also many more warehouses across the country.
