I just finished my new PC build, and I think it's a Mac that some of you may actually like. ;)

It took me about two weeks to get it all put together. It's nice to have a system with the style of a Mac, and the Power of a PC.

wow really nice, what king of heatsinks are those? they look like my hyper 6. and whatre the temps in that case? its so stylish, you should also put osx on that just for kicks ;)

They are Thermal Take Tower 112's. Typically I would never consider TT, but they were 100% copper and mounted in such a way to blow air out the back of the case. My temps read System 34C, CPU1 42C, CPU2 38C. all the fans in the system are running at very low rpm, so if it wasn't for the X1900 cooler it would be almost completely silent. There are no fans mounted to the front/back of the case, so the fans inside the case just keep the air flowing from front to back. No matter where you put your hand at the back of the case, it just feels like a steady stream of warm air. The air intake temperate is 72F, and the exaust is 85F.

Very clean job. I see more and more people using these cases. Where did you get yours (ebay?). Does it run 24/7 by any chance?

really nice. you could try making ducts to connect the heatsinks to the exhast holes in hte back.

oh man, that psu on the bottum open like that, just imagine if a cat wandered in there o_o and ive touched the heatsink on a powered psu before and shocked myself and its pretty exciting stuff

Love the case fit, are those Tyan badboy OCable?

Looks great, plenty of fannage and clean efficient cable management. Plus those copper sinks just look awesome:p:

A few questions...

How did you remove the Mac standoffs and having done so, how did you install the new ones?

How did you handle the I/O panel...is that just a trim piece on the outside of the backplane?

I have one of those cases and have been contemplating a conversion...yours is one of the nicest I've seen.

Great looking build, VERY clean. I love those G5 cases, they're sexy.
