Hi,
I'm trying to decide which radiator to choose.
Mora 2 Pro with 3-4 fans or Thermochill PA120.3 with 3 fans?
Which one would give the lowest CPU temps for an Opteron 146 > 3000MHz?
Monge :toast:

the pa120.3 will be the better choice. the mora is a real flow killer, and a p120.3 has enough surface area to cool a cpu + 2 gpus.
no question.. PA120.3
need to say more ?
PA120.3 all the way. :)
Mora rhymes with hora which means :banana::banana::banana::banana: in swedish, therefore I wouldn't chose that one....
Seriously, the PA120.3 is much, much better.
What 2 fan rad(Im assuming) is called a mora?
This one:Quote:

You can install up to nine 120mm fans.
"From gigantic extent and achievement our new MO-RA are 2 radiators.
The data speak for itself, about 24 m copper tube and 3.5 square meters sheet metal per MO-RA were blocked.
The cooling water flows three-way parallel by 60 tubing rows.
The lamellas MO racing are particularly optimized on a passive employment.
By the gigantic surface of the radiator and efficient geometry extremely good cooling performance is guaranteed.
The three-way parallel circuit of the tubing rows provides, despite very large surface, for a small flow resistance.
Standardized G ¼ Tariff thread and several mounting holes or threads make the installation the children's game.
The surface all MO racing is black powder-coated.
Our absolute Topmodell of the MO-RA 2 radiators is had the MO-RA 2PRO, this all features of the core version plus a complete stainless steel housing. By means of flexible of building block principle everyone can adapt its MO-RA whether as PRO or as core version, with or without exhaust screen, everything fits. The exhaust screen makes a true cooling power station equippable from a MO-RA 2, with maximally 9 exhausts can this heat exchanger whole cluster and multiprocessor systems cool.
Technical data
Material: Pipes copper, lamellas aluminum
Mass outside (L x B x H): 424 x 385 x 54mm
Weight: approx. 2500g
Pressure-tested: 20 bar
Surface: black coats
Connection: 2x thread G 1/4 tariff scope of supply: 1x MORA 2 core 1x assembly instruction
Warranty: on tightness and processing for 2 years
Note: The product is supplied without connections! Connection detail "
The mora would probablly perform better because it has more surface area and probablly more cooling capacity.
But isnt that rad 300 US dollars?
The cheapest place in Germany the Mora 2 Pro cost 111€ = 132 USDQuote:

I should like to read some reviews comparing different radiators like this:
http://www.watercoolplanet.de/index....01800,%20aktiv
To what temps? Mine 102.3HE is giving me a water temp of 32C in a 15C ambient temp room, and thats with only GPU, one CPU and mobo :( So I'm in need of of a second rad, as I'm going to WC a lot other parts..Quote:

Assigning a single value of performance to a radiator is not a sane way of judging radiators and is just poor journalism.
If the reviewer is not capable of juding the flowrate or pressure drop of the radiators, he should state as such and should inform readers that the performance results of each radiator will be greatly effected by this.
Swiftechs article/tech doc on radiator testing points this out very clearly.
What kind of fans do you have on it? You need powerful fans to get that rad to work well.Quote:

Hence why PA120.3 was released - lower fin density means you can use silent fans without losing performance (you actually GAIN performance over the old HE series)
Second rad is foolish - sell the HE120.3, and replace with PA120.3 would be most sensible option... www.vcore.dk are your nearest stockist (http://www.vcore.dk/shop/productlist.asp?Id=1085)
does anyone know where you can get a PA120.3 in canada?
DangerDen should be able to handle Canadian sales...
I'm not an expert in watercooling at tall, but I should like to read and know more.Quote:

Which temps should I expect on an Opteron 146@1.6v over 3000MHz with that setup and room temp at 20-21.
Cheers Monge
Depends entirely on how much youre motherboatd lies. Mobo reported temps are at best feebly related to reality :)
I was thinking about buying a Watercool MO-RA 2 Pro radiator and installing it to right sidepanel of my case. Now I have BlackIce 2 Pro radiator with 2x 120mm Akasa 18db fans and my water temperature is 30 degrees celsius in idle and 32 degrees when I'm gaming. So how much my water temperature would drop if I'd get that MO-RA and running it without fans?
Edit. Or what other radiators would you suggest? (I have two holes for 120mm fans at the roof of my case.)
you're probably not going to see very large improvements over the BIP2. what are your ambient temps btw? PA120.2 would probably be your best bet, if you're up for footing the bill
Ambient temp is around 20 degrees celsius. There are no Thermochill radiators in Finland and I would not like to order one from usa.
Theyre made in the UK.
