New venice 2.7Ghz 1st run Tforce6100-754

So far volts are 1.5v I have done upto 1.725v, Its a bios issue I can't go to 1.8v. I hope biostar will release a complete bios for once. >_> Still a testing Bios. Anyways I can get upto 2.85ghz so far was my max OC.

That is a prob because my comp is running in the 55C to 60C range. I need a new heatsink and fan to go any higher. So far my max htt is around 285 to 290. I haven't tryed lowering the hypertransport tho.

On lower multiplyers it doesn't like going passed 280htt from my 1st try on each multiplyer. I'm trying to figure out if this is the cpus htt limit. I have used verious memory deviders and the slowest possible timmings with no luck yet going passed 2.85ghz.

I am happy with 2.8ghz, very noticable diff from my sempron. But I shouldn't have a prob figureing out how to go upto 3ghz somehow with some more time. I'll keep you all informed. But I need to get myself a new heatsink/fan. 288htt is now my limit. 2880mhz.

Nice clocks, but those volts are insane! I wouldn't go over 1.6 unless on water...

Its a BioStar tforce 6100 which uses the nforce 410/6100 combo. It has onboard dx9 graphics with 2 pixel shaders.

Ha ha ha ha. Its not a bug, just super slow timmings. I'll make them faster later.

I can't run 2.8 stable yet because of heat issues from the volts. Even tho I can get it upto 2880mhz is 288htt and run it at min load. Its on the limit of my cooling it will take, I'll need to get a fifty buck heatsink fan to cool this down good enough. The volts required make it run at 2.8 with 1.725v stable I can't run them that high well I can if heat wasn't a prob. Full load makes the fan rev up too lould for my liking. It goes to 60C at 2880mhz.

Got my TForce 6100 in on Thursday,and have been messing with it here and there. My other 4 motherboards couldn't get me over 2.7GHz,and this mobo gets me to 2.85GHz SuperPi 32M stable. For the money,this is the best motherboard I've ever used. Here is a quick validation link,and a non-tweaked SuperPi 32M run.

BTW Serge84,what are you using to overclock within windows? That TForce overclocker app. is junk. I've just been using the bios,but it would be nice to be able to tweak a little within windows.

I use the bios I said. XD Its not my mobo thats a limit its the CPU and heat. Yeah I told ya its a great mobo. Glad it could do that for ya. I can run it at 2880mhz but it runs too hot. Need better cooling is all.

BTW oicurafox2000 Is that TCCD Memory you have? Hmm I think this mobo just likes Semprons better. lol

No,its OCZ GOLD VX PC4000 ram. (BH-5)

Serge84,why didn't you just buy a Sempron? From what I've seen the Semprons OC higher then any other 754 chip,(for the money)and run super cool. I set mine at 2.8GHz 24/7 and it won't get over 38c. 8 hours of toast.

O,heres my latest OC. Puts me at #4 for the World Record. :p:

Pritty much a geforce 6200 with 2 pipelines, Level 3 OpenedGL, Clocks at 425mhz GPU, Is dependent on 128mb's of shared memory, you get better performance debending on how good your memory is, how high you clock it, and how fast your hyper transport is OCed. It has a 256-bit GPU. So I can pritty much play any game I want on it. Doom 3, Horizons, Prince of persia 3, FEAR, Silent hill 4, Call of Duty 2. And so on on high but at 800 by 600 only. This is only the best onboard video you can get besides the 6150 very little difference.

If I got another one it would be just by luck I could get that high, depends on how good the memory controller is. This athlon feels more powerful anyways. At the same speed of 2.4ghz. This is good enough for me 2.8ghz.

I run mine at 1.6V. for 2.84GHz stable. Doesn't get any hotter then 38c. full load at that voltage.

So you asked me to bench my Memory? Wait until I have OCZ Platenum limited edition DDR600 PC4800 then we'll talk memory challanges at the end of next week. Super Pi is memory benching... not cpu benching. That I know of anyways. Never really used it.

I solved the prob of the htt. Now its the bios issue with this chip. Clockgen gives me this. I can get upto 379htt. So far. I have no idea why lower multiplyers don't run higher then 288 in the bios. But does in clockgen. Well these chips are just as good as semprons in OCing. I have yet to get it to 2960 stable. I don't know if it can. Need to do more tests.

Third, each K8 CPU has an integrated memory controller, which helps to reduce the memory access latencies in comparison to processors that communicate with the memory via the chipset. That’s why the reduction of the L2 cache doesn’t affect the performance of K8 processors as dramatically.

Sure I can do some SuperPI tests at 2.8ghz. XD But yeah, my heatsink and fan sucks. May goto thrmaltake and get some of the best full copper small ones with heat pipes and a 80 airflow fan. lol You prob have a better heatsink/fan then me.
