Did you just get it? I'll probably get the same stepping as mine is coming in tonight. I'll report back later.
They have gone already :|, i was just PM'ing the store owner to save me one. And he PM me back saying tht they were gone, damn, damnQuote:

Oh and welcome to the forums

Really? Well, I'll let you know if I get it or not. It'll be interesting to see how it compares to the 0550 chips.
Thanks!Quote:

I am happy with my 0550 VPMW :p
should clock better once i sort something out ;)

Guess what all that stuff's for :D
LOL, do we really have to guess, heheheee :)
i imagine you bought tht gear from over-clock, oh and I can see your address on the envelope, you may want to hide tht information!! If u need any advice, just drop me a PM :)
damn, i'm in 2 minds whether or not to order one of these 165's
nice kit kitt
i'd love to see how far you can push that 165 ;)
yeah i saw your post over there. Ive been searching on the net for the last half hour but cant really find anything useful. Looks like it will be a stab in the darkQuote:

Ok time to dangle a carrot
:D
Supertim0r has posted some interesting information abt 0551 chips
They have default vCore of 1.3volts :slobber: , now the dribble could turn into a good thing or a bad thing, time will tell. But this info is quite interesting.Quote:

So if revenant info is correct (there is a move to a new fab in process something we know abt), his post abt less vCore coinsiding with confirmation from Supertim0r post (his chip runs with 1.3v), its safe to assume tht 0551 chips are being produced at new fab, yes or no?Quote:

Hey, my X2 3800+ defaulted to 1.264 Vcore :P
Oh really, wonder how many other peeps default to such a low vCore? Your info has sort of thrown my presumptions into the air, LOLQuote:

most ppl here run dfi.
dfi underreports vcore setting
so 1.312 is most likely 1.35 default
and 1.264 is probable 1.3 default.
I got a CCBWE 0551 VPMW...anyone know anything?
People who got 0551 165's- where did you order them? I just bought another one from the egg, hoping for a 0550
BTW my DFI @ 1.35v is 1.328 in CPU-Z.. AD0 :)
Got mine from monarch...
Default Vcore given by board isn't really trustable.
Default Vcore for Opterons as specified by AMD is 1.3v (for all of them). This has nothing to do with a new fab, they've been like this since 90nm started.
Default Vcore for AthlonX2s as specified by AMD is 1.35v/1.4v, which I assume means 1.4v doesn't void warranty and that 1.35v should be enough to power the chip.
i have two 148 0552 here, they behave the same with 0545 and 0546 ive tested before, pretty good to excellent clocking on air, they suck on phase (can get HTT more than 270-280 at lower temps than 0 or so)
Got a 0551 UPMW from ZZF. Won't know how it OC's as I dug myself into a ditch. Broke the piggy bank :stick:
i have a 165 0550 and it clocks very very well will do 2.65gh running rosetta 100% 1.45v or about 2.6 w 1.375v
So it seems the 0551 are producing consistant results across the board.
2.5-2.6 default voltage
maxing out at abt 2.7-2.8 volts, no one has shown any results like some a few of the 0550's. Wonder if will see any 2.9-3.0ghz clocks wth 0551's?
i'm @ 2.7ghz (TCCD @ 300 2.5-4-3-5) 1.43v
news gyus?
how good is this CCBWE 0551WPMW?
thxx
I'd like to know too.
