hi guys, I am worried about wildly inaccurate readings for both temps and vcore/vdimm/chip volts from my DFI Expert. I have hw rev AA0. Is there a thread/guide/link/pic of where to take the readings with a DMM to get an accurate reading? I dont want to kill my cpu! :nono:
I have been measuring the Vdimm at the lead here

thanks... is it safe to run my cpu without a heatsink for a few minutes (no load of course) just to take these measurements? I cant figure out how I would read those with my big as s Big Typhoon in the way.
Better pics up; sorry 'bout that. I would NOT run without a HS for even a moment. Maybe if you took your board out of your case you would have more access to it?
ok I'll try it with the stock AMD h.s. and see. Has anyone else taken "real" readings on their DFI Expert -- are they accurate or not?
i wanna see some scope readings, like what emc2 did with his dfi nf4 that had the horrible vtt.. same for the newer a.d0 non-experts :toast:
I am going to have to take my whole case apart to take these readings. I will post asap.
VCore - SG: 1.31-1.32 Real: 1.343
VDimm - SG: 2.57 Real: 2.604
I don't feel like measuring chipset. So figure the delta at around .02-.03 for VCore and around .07 for VDimm. Hope this helps. Oh and thanks for pics.
Yeah Vdimm is measured easily there as ixtapalapaquetl showed.
I don't know where is for Vdd (chipset voltage) cos I tested for one day this mainboard.
For Vcore one easily method is on coil or a MOSFET near to CPU socket.
Sorry I cannot post photos (not available this mainboard) but general guides are here and I measured Vcore on the back of mainboard easily.
You have to download OcBible (it has enormous guides inside).
To inform you the actual values for Vcore and Vdimm where closed to DFI's monitor program.
I cant' believe it, I've been looking for both CPU and VDIMM voltage read points for the Expert for like 2 months now with no luck! I've posted at dfi-street, guru3d, and teh VR Zone. Then for some reason I decided to just do a quick google search, and bingo, here it is! Thank you guys so much, what a great thread. This info is invaluable to me!

seeems that my venus overvolts the vcore.

anyone else have this overvolt issue?
