NEW DFI boards! RD580! P-M! mATX!

I am excited for RD580, it is gonna take alot for me to resist until AM2.
Still no dothan enthusiast board :(

Both of these looked like pretty neat solutions for media enthusiasts, and DFI are going to have more and more boards for this sector of the market, and are keen to leverage their expertise in overclocking to get the most performance possible. There are also plans for Yonah compatible versions of the Intel boards, meaning that a dual-core, low-power desktop will be a reality.

hmm...I wonder if AT has their photos messed up. They say the red matx DFI is Geforce6150, but clearly the card reads 200 Express.

Speaking of experts, DFI had its LANParty UT NF4 SLI-DR Expert on display. The board uses a plain old nForce4 SLI chipset, and was built with extreme overclocking in mind. Curiously, though, DFI isn't too keen on the new nForce4 SLI X16 chipset. Apart from extra PCI Express lanes, whose performance benefits are largely limited to SLI AA, and RAID 5, which suffers from painfully slow write performance, the X16 chipset doesn't offer much more than its predecessor. Instead of tackling the X16, DFI is working on another new nForce4 SLI design.

A CrossFire board based on ATI's RD580 is also in the works. This board will ditch ATI's south bridge in favor of a ULi solution, but DFI wouldn't comment further. We managed to surreptitiously snap a picture, though. That'll be our little secret.

not very nice to post this pic after telling dfi they wont post it, but then again i dont get what the big hassle is about?
im sure the no pics was only to create a hype about the board ans use this as marketing... whats so special about a pic of the board, i dont see anything new on it :D

Dunno why,but the 2 zero i can see below the chipset fan is telling me that this is a screenshot of the RDX200 -_-

Hm... THe PCIe and PCI slots are orange. They used to be yellow on NF4 boards and on RDX200 too IIRC.

Looks like it could be a RDX300? Anyways, it has the dual 7 segment displays instead of the 4 LED's like the RDX200.

And what about that RS232 connector next to the DVI in the RS482? I was happy to get rid of it with my SLI-DR and now they put it again? :D j/k

the RD580 is supposed to be called Xpress3200 BTW.


Personnally im not that interested in dfi.

I want the manta reference board, whoever makes it.

It's not an RDX200, the digit before "00" is not a "2", could be a 3, 5, 6 or 8.
