Cow Bashing: Photochoppers Unite

this is probably going to be a 56k warning in the future thread, i plan on making mine kinda funny, and no, i dont have top of the line photochopping skillz, but good enough i guess. we'll find out...

it would be nice if we could figure out some kind of easy prize for the best picture, i'd be up for suggestions, put some input in here, after my first picture, ill take suggestions on what to do for other pictures. so you can go ahead and drop a few of those in here if you want

first pic to start everything off...i found a pic with plenty of cows to butcher...finished up with mafia so far (30 minutes of work), might work on collective next.

i was just gonna add the collective and everyone else on the end of this, but that would be a long gif, one that would easily go over the 200kb limit.

im not done yet, thats just 2 of them, let me take a break for the night, then ill get back to working on them tomorrow. :slap:
right now im around 30minutes per gif, not too bad IMO,14-16 frames.

i basically make every layer of them in photoshop, then go into imageready and "throw it all together"
i should get one for rod coming up sometime tomorrow, if you want a sneak peek at whats gonna be in that one, check out my avatar;)

are you doing this frame by frame there are easier ways of doing this in flash. i think you can do it but me = suxor in flash

yea, there are probably easier ways, flash being one, but im like you, i suck in flash and dont feel like learning it right now. ill give up the .psd file if anyone wants to make a flash movie out of it.

I don't have time to fiddle unfortunately but some thoughts for teh general public:

1. Need to not just kill but process :cow:s here, any blasts should leave a nice BEEF dish remaining :slobber:

2. Mafia people just don't blend in well w/ this motif (Mafioso butchers/servers - NAH! :D, and we don't want lead poisoning in teh beef :hm: need more creative input here!!! )
:idea: What about Mafia Cowboys (you figure out how to show both :D ) Herding dinner to a cube and out pops a nice juicy steak, etc just as you like it! :D (Way too complicated to implement but makes good visual :D ) Thought of the same thing w/ some borg, just don't have the time or knowledge to do it, sorry.

3. I can send a copy of just the ship if anyone wants to play. :D

Back in a while to see if I continued anything :D

im guessing you also have imageready then. i did an image search on google for cows, found a few pictures, and then modified them in photoshop. if you are going to create a gif, make sure you use plenty of layers, it makes the whole process easier. then save the file in photoshop, and open it in imageready. down on the slider there will start out only being 1 frame, just duplicate the current frame, then use the layer menu on the side to choose which layers you want on the screen during that particular frame. just have fun with it, use it a bit and it will get easier:)

Whenever I try to edit a certain frame, it always edits all of them. What am I doing wrong?

i think it does that whenever you try to edit the frames in imageready. just try to do all you can in photoshop.

ok guys, here's the one for rod, this is the funniest one i've made so far:D

i'll have to work on some ideas on what to do with the other cows that are there. this one took me about an hour to do, a lot of editing on reptar, which wasn't that hard since he's near solid green and black lines anyways.

layers, not necessarily pics, its easiest to just right click on the actual layer you have made and duplicate it, then modify it. it just takes as many layers as it takes to achieve whatever you are trying to make. im in the 12-16 frames range right now.

and i did this one for rod...and he hasn't even said anything about it yet.....

im out of ideas now, dont really know of anything else i can do with this. someone else is going to either have to help me out or come up with something of their own. ill give my psd file to anyone that wants it, 4.75mb right now, getting kinda big
