OMG ECS RS 480-M 2T only
Hi out there ...
I have one of the ECS RS 480-M mainboards in my HTPC
Mainproblem is the fact that there are nearly NO options to tweak some memory settings. And wtf the board defaults to 2T! Thats just a shame cause of the loss of bandwith. I checked the biosfile with modbin, but there are no hidden options. And i dont know how to modify the bios with a hexeditor to get the 2T / 1T thing done.
Maybe someone can help me?

Hm ... i think there are two ways of getting this done :D
1. Someone will do the work for me
2. Someone will tell me how to to the work.
I defenetly would prefer the 2nd option cause i´m always interested to learn something new.

^^ Not really ... primary i want to know how to mod the bios!
Secondary its the ATI EXPRESS 200 Board from ECS, but the mainthing is the biosmod!
-
what about using a64 tweaker from codered?
-
Yes, i tried this for sure. And it works. Thats the reason i want to mod the bios. When i would have problems with 1T i wont do the mod ;) But remember my first setence. I am using this mainboard for my htpc and i dont want to install to much software to keep the performance good!

Just curious, I have found my HTPC runs just fine at about 1100MHz with no tweaks... what do you need all the performance for?
-
come on ugly...its XS...we don't ask those questions.
-
LOL I see you point, but an HTPC needs to be super quiet too, who wants to listen to the drone of the fans while Arnie is duking it out with another Terminator? heheheh

Here u can see my "darling"
HTPC
It is supersilent cause of the watercooling.
I use 2x256 BH6 @ 2/2/2/5 2.7V but the mainboard defaults to 2T.
1T would be much more nice, and also i would learn how to mod my bios files better :D

Sad, that there is no answer for my "problem" ... what ever thx :D
