dead UTT on DFI = board or RAM's fault?

lets say you have a DFI NF4 board and a set of OCZ VX that started off nicely, but then began to die (probably due to the 5v jumper). if you RMA them and recieve a completely different set of OCZ VX, will it be certain that they too will die? or is it just a stick to stick, kit to kit basis?

Well, you always have lifetime warranty, so they might not die... and if they do, just get another set lol.
