Single stage in Lian-li v2000.

Few more tweaks need to be done as well as changing compressor (too noisy for my taste). Need to fabricate front PSU intake vent drive bay and rear exhaust 120mm fan hole for lower half. Too tired to do any more cutting today :P

No PSU doesn't go straight in there... I had to pop out the rivet, move it off a little, drill hole than re-rivet the drive bay cage. Think I can't tolerate anything louder than Mach compressor really so thats what will go in instead of this 1/3 HP compressor.

Edit: Mucho updates... Only thing left is redoing the back plate to make it nicer and better aligned (just cosmetic) and cleaning up the wire again... (cosmetic again:P) Possibly rewiring H2O loop to make it easier to work inside case.

Fabricated Lian-li perforated style drive bay cover :) Used up 3 spots for better airflow when only really needed 2 slot size. Why not :P

Version 2 with PC ICE's rework on compressor and better placement of condensor to get most air from intake fan. used different platform and different compressor (mach compressor) but basically same thing.

Back PSU bracket rev.2 is work in progress. Basically same thing but better alignment and cuts than what it is now :)

Nice. I have the same case and I plan to install my Chilly1 unit in the bottom as soon as it gets here. I am thinking of keeping a small WC setup for the NB/GPU as well (at least the GPU). I have my fingers crossed that I will be able to keep my PSU (OCZ600) in the bottom section still.

lookin' good, I was planning on doing something similar, but with my CM stacker, but I don't like how little space it leaves for my watercooling setup and peltier power supply, so i"m sjut going to build a "mini stacker" and stack them together, lol

Yeah, one of the reasons I am getting rid of the pelt is the 2nd PSU. It fits in this case OK, but I'd rather have vapo for all the trouble.

jin-- did you have any trouble with space between the mobo and tray with the insulation/backplate? That's my only concern and if I need to cut out for some space, I'd rather do it before the unit gets here. More pics and temps please ;)

I didn't. However, I suggest you do cut it beforehand anyway. It helps when you need to remount, rework the insulation, etc. In fact, it helps tons! :) More Pics and temps when I am done. I think unit is bit overcharged and keeping temp of 0c (speedfan on DFI NF4 for X2 4400 dual priming 1.5v 2.85ghz... Haven't tested higher than that yet... was bit nosiy for my taste to late night testing :P.... Besides, it's rather meaningless since It is getting swapped out by mach compressor tomorrow by Pc ICE...)

Looking from sweet there man. Awesome little lanable machine.

Thanks for the info! I thought it looked a little tight for insulation and a back plate...the insulation I used for the my pelt barely fit by itself, but it was pretty thick. I need to coat my mobo while waiting for the unit to arrive, so I'll do some surgery to the tray while it's out.

If there are any other tips that my be useful, I am all ears :) Good luck with the compressor swap...

Looks really nice. Where did you find that mesh you used to cover the bottom 3 5.25" bays? I've been looking all over for that stuff!

Mind you, it isn't perfect match as hole size is right but spacing is tad different (not too noticeble really but it is :P) I went aluminum way to make it easier to cut and bend.

Yes, and nosie of the fan. And even more so is the fact I am very apprehensive of the maker of this one. Tempwise, it is vapochill LS kind of unit so it isn't TOO bad but usually custom units are supposed to do better than stock units. Also problematic is fan nosie which is rather loud. I could replace it but I am afraid of consequence in temp as condenser is decently warm already. If it doesn't sell, I think I am going to start learning how to make my unit. (I've been reading on all kind of topics, how to, etc for last year and half so not so clueless I guess at least. Some units with desuper heater looks very promising and this compressor in the unit I found is prized unit amongst quite a few people for it's noise vs performance prowess and efficiency. Americold. Only thing is, I can't find specification for it since the company went belly up. Heard somewhere between 1/3-1/2 hp unit but I am not 100% sure. Only thing that stopped me was involved tools cost and unsureness of my ability to build one that works good but at this point... I think I can play with this unit without much fear and borrow some tools from few people I know (like vacum pump... actually I think that is about the only thing that is REALLY costly)

That stinks. I have a vacuum pump and an air compressor, just not sure of my ability to put something together either or where I could even get refrigerants. My usual MO is to buy something plug-n-play, look at it for a long time and then eventually get the nerve to build something myself ;) We'll see...I kinda would just like to put it in and finally button up the case.

I know the feeling. I am on my 4th single phase now and finally got guts building up (or forced to) to get my hands dirty.

All I can say is.. WOW.. that has to be one of the best mods ive ever seen. VERY sleek.

Thanks Maxx, learning how to braze atm. I can do it well now after few tries (not much diff from soldering is it?) but the real problem seems to be that this torch isn't hot enough. I need to get something hot and not having to wait a minute for parts to get red hot to let the braze rod through... :p and not overheat other parts unecessarily.

your right , the faster you can heat the part the better!!!! thats why act/oxy is the best to use.

Any noob tips will be appreciated :) This C-38 exam material seems to be piece of cake. (but than I've been reading up on how to from forums, etc for over a year now...:P)
