Asus FTP says it isn't there? Can anyone find it for me real quick? (I leave to catch a plane in ~ 12 hrs and need to test my board.)
I got it here, We all owe a certain reviewer a heap of thanks for this one ;)
Grab it here BTW this is the new 023 beta. fixes multi option with 533 Dothans on the P4C800E...the bios we have all waited for. :woot:
Thanks much
nice, THANKS Tony!!

Does the multi function work? :slobber:
I've heard it doesn't!?
I tested it...Multi and Voltage worked for me..
P4C800-E + PM 730
Unfortunately I can't boot higher than FSB 240...dunno why...
EXTREMELY NICE!
must.. have.. dothan.. :slobber:
All we need is the P4P800E bios now for some DDR533 action ;)
Glad you like it guys, glad i could help ;)
Board seems to work but won't go anywhere above ~160 with my dothan (730). My p4p800 was good into the 210 range. Also the multi is stuck at 6x. Anyone else having these issues with this bios? Think changing jumper from 100fsb to 133 would fix them? (It's a bit of trouble, must remove entire setup and resolder it).
Lithan, yes you want the jumper on 533. :D
Give it some voltage to live by and boot at 201FSB. What happens then?Quote:

No matter what I set it at, it boot at 12 (got a 730). Under CPU info in bios it says 6 though
I flashed it using "afudos /i10001.023 /pc" which should be alright, right?
try the jumper in 400 mode, I hit the same fsb's with it like this but the multipliers work better for some reason
Thank you bigtoe. Will try that :)
I noticed it didn't flash the bootblock although I used "afudos /i10001.023 /pc". Could it be that?
Thought that it might be a possibility, and could be worked around through flashing the bootblock with the more "official" beta 1022ed first.
Flashed it using the windows tool. Everything works perfectly.
Got it worked out.
You need to use one of the newest afudos to get the multi's, I think it's 207.
I simply used the newest - AFUDOS211.
Can you use this bios with the P4C800 Dlx ? (so the non -E version)
Add the p4gd1 to your wish list for dothan friendly bios.
BTW, what OCZ DDR ram would you recomend for going with the 915P chipset, on a p4gd1?

Any problems if I go for VX, or gold pc3200(BH-5)??
I have a p4c800 (non e non deluxe) here and this bios doesn't work for me:
flashed first time with afudos 116 with /n /pbnc command. when the flash is finished, it asks to reboot and when I do, everything spins up but I get no visual.
I flashed again with the latest afudos. it reboots fine... once. then i have the same problem.
when i reset the bios, it boots but again, just once. when I select load defaults and continue, it reboots but same problem: no visual.
now I've done the same thing with the latest beta bios for the P4C800 (1021b_04) and this bios seems fine apart from 1 rather anoying thing: it shuts down instantly when I reboot be it by shorting the pins or CTRL+ALT+DEL.
I wanted to check the german asus ftp again for a different bios but I can't get into the "intel chipset" folder (all other folders work fine) and if I remember correctly, the second most recent bios is the 1019 wich probably will not support dothan...
both biosses also gave me random discolored bios screens
Weirdest crap happened to me, I switched from a 730 to a 740, and now I can't change the vcore. It seems to be stuck at 1.5v no matter what. Tried reflashing from windows and DOS, doesn't change anything. The "VCore Voltage" option is stuck at "Auto," I don't see anything else. Any ideas anyone?
Dont want to jinx it, but I reflashed with .19 afudos and running fine @ 12x 201fsb now (was stuck at like 6x 160 before). Haven't changed multi yet because 12 is the multi I'm going to be using most likely, but I trust that they work anyway.
Gautam, Have you cleared cmos and checked to be sure that you're set to "manual" overclock?
