Got me a new mobo today.
Heres a little preview, 1 stick of Kingston @ only 2.7V :D
Needs work and Voltage mod but we may have 3D monster here:D

Sweet, mine will be here in the morning. Cant wait to see some scores.
I have a question bout the v-mod. How exactly do u do the vdimm mod? Like what pot and omhage?
And the vcore mod is the same as the kx7 rite?
Nice. What CPU is it that you used for the WCPUID screenshot? Seems at least we're getting high FSBs with this bad boy....
i'm impressed! i think i still like the epox though.
any word on when the board with mounting holes will be available? this is the only reason i am leaning towards the epox.
Is that a Xp 2200 or a B core Tbred?
mbrock, it would have to be a 'B' core based on the stepping id of 1 in the wcpuid shot.. :DQuote:

Sorry I did not pay attention to the 1,1 in the steppings.Quote:

Well if that is a B core that that sort of blows the theory that the NF7-s only lets A core get high FSB. Now I am really confused. unless this board is newer than a rev1.0
OPP:toast: ,
looks like 226fsb on nForce should guarantee you brutal 3dmark score right off the bat. however, i would expect little higher score at this speed. unless you relaxed the timings a bit.
Opp does your NF7 has the 4 holes around the socket?
Opp, are you using a pci raid controller card to get ya past 188fsb? I see your using a Tbred stepping.
Your bench is a good sign though the bandwidth seems low compared to the Epox.:(
As far as 3dmark goes some of the tests will suffer from the decreased mhz's won't they? That is roughly 500mhz's less than your previous AMD score with the KD7. It will be interesting to see how high a score Opps NF7-s will get.
mbrock,
i don't think this was achieved with Prommy. He prolly knocked down multi just to max out the memory/fsb. 12x226 should be within the reach with Prometeia.
btw @ 204fsb cas2/2/2/2, i scored around 32xx/31xx on Asus board, but it's limited to 211fsb only:(
226 with 2.7v .. not too bad :D
I hope the holy NF7 will have voltages we need to do 3D at those fsb!
GG OPP ;)
Unless the problems with the NF7 is that there is a problem in the way it works while using the high bit multipliers. I did not check that on mine.Quote:

i don't know which chip OPP uses on this board, but if it's 12.5x or lower multi chip, there shouldn't be any problem. at least upto 12.5x. hmm, let's wait for OPP's input.
This could be interesting. I know on my 2800+ I never even tried anything lower than 13.5. Hopefully Opp will shed some light on this soon
bandwith seems a bit low to me... I hope you're not with tighest timings
I decided to keep mine (when it gets here) because of Opps luck...but then he always gets more out of his hardware than I do. The no holes does not bother me as I will use the Prommie...the volt mods do bother me...looks nasty!
I am surprised he got such high fsb without a mod..even tho looks like relaxed timings? I always have to ram the juice to it to get fsb up that high. looks like I need to shop for a 256 Kingston also. The spending never stops!
Don't keep us waiting too long, OPP :p
:slobber:
I wanna know:
PCI Lock?
Mounting Holes?
HD Corruption?
I'm stuck with my KD7 at 191 with XMS 3200C2
i think it's safe to rule out HDD coruption as nForce2 uses zillion of diffrent controllers for agp/pci/southbridge. PCI is locked for sure, so no data corruption:)Quote:
HD Corruption?
Okay, I had to go to bed:D
Heres the deal, for one thing this is a XP2700 chip, I was just testing:D
No HD corruption:D
There are no holes on the mobo, this is a original.
It took me 2 hours to figuer out the mobos problem with high fsb, there are 2 problems running at 225.
1) You have to dissable both IDE controllers, I have 2 IBMs set up on the ATA 150 controllers, Raid-0.
2) your internet conection is shot at this speed.
Of coarse I only had so much time to play, I'll be testing it today after my AC DC Mid Term I didn't study for last night:D
The mem mod will be a B!tch, it is the same as the BE7-BD7.
The timings were very low 4-4-10, can't do much at 2.7V :D
I'll be back later and figuer this bad boy out. Remember the #1 above is the secret to get this mobo to go high with the FSB.
OPP
Thanks, OPP :)
I'm tellin ya, Abit wants me to be an EPoX buyer 4 life ;)
Opp - you using your network ports for an internet connection?
Thought there was 2 NICs onboard on the NF7?
Anyway, youve answered one of my questions about the nforce - a board with RAID. Im taking it its a highpoint 372a chip with SATA headers instead of IDE?
Hows the vcpu mod look? Standard HIP chip?
Sorry for all the questions :). This is the board ive been waiting for to go back to AMD, and withthe new stepping Tbreds now looks like the time.
Incase anyone didnt notice with the mem bench it wasnt in dual channel mode. That was one stick of memory only. Should be looking at about 200 - 300mb/s increase in the buffered bench. Any chance of you running some unbuffered benches Opp? Im yet to see NF2 unbuffered.
PiLsY.
