Hi All ,
I want to know when Oscar will release a new final bios for VN and SD cpu ,
414-1 and 414-3 aren't , stable :(
Im hoping tht a new bios is released soon, im finding some strange results with my venice as i push past 323HTT. Another forum member has exact same CPU (Venice 3000+ CBBLE 0512DPBW) as myself and a similar setup and they have reeached exact same wall as me.
After 323HTT the predictabilty of the overclock is lost. Sometimes superpi is possible with 3ghx sometimes it will crash instantly at 2940mhz.
This CPU is prime95 stable for over 9hrs at 322x9=2898mhz. The divider im running is 9:10, so mem is running at 290mhz. Ive tried alot of settings but the results are consistant. Anything over 323HTT and predictions are not possible
what makes you think its the board and not the cpu?
do other people on different boards have better results/stability?
Bios 509 and 510 is in beta right now. Hopefully we will see it soon.
you can download the 509 and 510 beta in 10 minutees at http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/other/114
Sweet just downloaded 510-3. Will try it in a bit and report back!
runnin' fine here (510-3)... with tccd @305 2,5-3-3-5-7 @ 2,8v ;)
Any increase in overclocks?
Well i wish their were more results with other brds, running HTT of above 323 and having the same CPU as the ones ive mentionedQuote:

Im able to run a superPi 32M at 3ghz (HTT of 330) but it is impossible to boot at this HTT speed, cant even get into memtest at anything over 325HTT with any consistancy.
Ive just downloaded the bios's, wont be able to test till Monday, has anyone got any info on the differences between the bios's??
Very nice to see 510 up for download, my Ultra-D and 3000+ will be here on wednesday, and I can't wait to give 'er a go. Gonna push my mem controller and GSkill as far past 300HTT as I can, dunno if 334x9 will be possible on h2O, but I'm sure as hell gonna try. :D
You better use the offical Bios first to see everting is Ok. Then, you can try the Beta Bios. This is to counter check should anything goes wrong, Bios is not the issue. Currently, my comp die on me due to Bios. Anyway, have fun. Cheers.Quote:
