Combination is questionable for me at best with requiring 2.9V to the memory to come even close to rated speed of the module in "Synch" mode. CPU seems to have some headroom due to only using 1.65V right now. Using XP 2600+ 166FSB version with 12.5X stock multiplier. Will try different modules soon. 250FSB and 11X would be nice. :D

2.9v & only 200MHz sounds low.....messed w/ the timings at all?

I'm running two sticks of Corsair 3500 at 211 with 2.77v and it seems stable. The only time it does not seem stable is when the room temp is warm and so I think that is more likely a northbridge issue than the memory.
Have you tried individiual sticks to see if one is slightly below par ?

Single 512MB 3500C2 for now. Was thinking of getting another module for dual channel action but I am seeing other people having problems with the Corsair modules on this board. Might be the first RMA request with Corsair of not doing 217MHz at default voltage at 7-3-3-2 timings. I can barely hit 200MHz in synch at 2.9V with the rated timings from Corsair. Maybe some Mushkin, Kingston Hyper-X, OCZ or Geil in the next several days. :)

What type pf cooling do you have? im gonna get corsair 3500 and a 2400+ and im curious to see what people get on air..
The 8RDA+ is on KryoTech SuperG2 due to my KD7-R is in Prometeia right now.

What's the Sandra memory score when running at 50% ?

It sucks. Running anything in a async function unfortunately ruins the performance. Massive bottlenecks are created and so on.

The board/CPU are totally stable @ 250MHz FSB? Seems as tho good memory is the only thing keeping us from running our AMD setups @ 250FSB then...... :)
Seems to be stable but of course I need to run prime 95 for at least 48 hours straight. Just made a 3DMark run and saved the 3dp file due to MadOnion seems to be down for me right now.

BTW, don't you have any other memory ratio's to choose higher than 50%? Say perhaps 70% or higher? And if so, do they work? :)
Yeah, doesn't 80% work? With a FSB of 250Mhz and mem running at 2*200Mhz, you should have some nice benchies. :)
I don't know why they can't get better scores out of those nforce 2 boards if the fsb is at 250 and the ram runs at 200fsb dual channel. There should be plenty of bandwidth available and the cpu can actually use it at 250fsb. Maybe a later bios will let you run asynchronous like that without so bad of a performance hit. I was hoping it would run fine from the start that way I could run my processor fsb way up and still use my samsung chips on the board at 200fsb. Dreaming of 400fsb and dual channel ddr running at 200fsb.
i too have a stick of that corsair 3500 c2. and it too needs like 3.15v to run stable at 195 aggressive on my AT7 Max2.:mad:
Well if you're talking about sandra scores, then SiSoft said their program doesn't read Nforce 2 properly...on my 8RDA+ it says unknown motherboard.= with the 2003 version.Quote:

when running asynch latency makes your performance worse (a lot), so the only solution is running synch (I know, it's hard...)Quote:

Yes, I wish I could run 250:250 synch. :D Well, the options for memory to fsb ratios are 50%, 60% 66% 75% 80%, 83%, 100%, 120%, 125%, 133%, 150%, 166% and 200%. Here is Sandra memory at 250MHz FSB with memory at 75% or 187MHz at 6-2-2-2. I can not get the memory to run at 200MHz reliably at synch or asynch using a single stick of this Corsair. I'm having a few problems with my twin sticks of similar memory at present.
I put the new BIOS in and at relaxed 2-7-3-3 settings it went up to 225 fairly easily. I tried it at CAS 3 to see what the performance hit was and then it wouldn't boot up. I believe Asus nforce2 boards have this problem as well. So I took the memory out, put in some Crucial, cleared the CMOs and booted up again with the dual Corsair.
It was running pifast at 217 but over the course of the evening it went down hill and now it will not run at 211 ! I had this the other day as well, it seems to have good and bad days. Temps during the evening went down and voltages went up, but no joy.
3dmark couldn't get past the car chase as well. It sems to be when I have the cpu above 2100 and the memory above 200 ( though the processor runs at 2300 with 2.1v.)
I'll have to reseat everything again and put the multiplier down to 8x and work my way up again.
Does anyone elses day to day runs fluctuate so much ?
