oldie but goldie: Abit Kx7 333R @ 242 FSB
Hi folks,
together with my friend Redflash we got bored and decided to build an oldschool rig. :) We grabbed some old hardware and began to overclock.
- Abit Kx7 333R
- Thunderbird 1200 B
- 256 MB TwinMos/Winbond BH5
- Western Digial WD400
- Antec TruePower 430
- S3 Trio 64V
- OCZ DDR-Booster
CPU and NB is watercooled, VCore mod done but nothing else. Without Booster we were stable at 226 fsb, with Booster set to 3.2 - 3.5 we could hit this:

CPU-Z Validation
Up to 241 everything works fine in windows, everything above was hard to validate. Something is limiting us, don´t know whether it´s the harddisk or it´s the S3 graphiccard.
Timings are set to 2-2-2-5-2T + 4 Bank Interleaving + CPU Command Decode FAST. But lowering timings doesn´t help. I also played around with voltages, but no better results.
That´s it for now. We will try again in a few weeks, maybe with better cooling. :toast:
