:D I'm still confused about it - myself only using the ATX and the 4pin 12V but many people say it's better to connect the floppy/HDD-like also.
But what is the benefit at all? So let's see how You all handle it.

1 20 pins psu (should be 24, but you know what i mean!)
1 floppy type connector near the pcie connectors. Im guessing this helps when running SLI configs, which i am.
1 molex type connector near the ide driver. General power throughout the board
1 4pins connector near the 20-24pins psu connector. This is usually a cpu dedicated line.
That is it for me, and that all of them afaik
Isnt those requierd when you run SLI only? I don't use them at all. I do like you ATX + 4pin.
:D This is exactly the question I have - nobody told for sure before. I also think so because I have a very nice stability of all voltages without using the HDD/floppy-like connectors.Quote:

all 4
I use all of them, but when i do a wiring job, Ill take the PCIE one off, because its ugly :)
:D HAHA - now here just happens what I thought before - nobody knows it for sure, some use all 4 and some do not.
Isn't there anybody offical out there from DFI ? I think it's important to know why this board has the 2 extra connections.
:toast:
1) 24 pin ATX plug
2) 4 pin plug next to it.
Thats about it . Might try plugging in a molex connector and seeing if it helps my overclock any :D .
huh there's only one extra near chipset heatsink for 2nd PCI-E cardQuote:

I would use all of them if I had the board. Why would you want to steal power from the cpu or other components? If they are there, use them.
Look right next to your block (white plug to left above inductor in piccie  :D )Quote:

I use all four-power connector’s!
Official Statement from “Angry Games” at “DFI street ” Regarding Power connector’s!
Important Info (critical!) - updated 4/12/2005 (post #13 & #19)

“If you use some high performance memories, the loading will be increased automatically. Power delivery might be insufficient, chipset fan and CPU fan might not work. For stability and safety, an external power delivery is required at this time; please connect the 5V/12V power connector on-board (4-pin molex + 4-pin floppy connector). Power delivery will be sufficient. Further more, to ensure sufficient power could be provided; we highly recommend using a minimum 480 Watt power supply unit”.

Have used all 4, just 3 (without the floppy) and just 2 (the main + P4). Have not noticed any difference at all (but I'm not running SLI).
I use all four.. didnt try with any less because I figured if they are there plug em in..:)
I have all of them apart from the FDD connector. Dont have any spare FDD connector that can reach the plug on the mobo.
doh didn't see that i thought that was regular fan header lol :oQuote:

I'm using them all.
I will be using ATX, 12v and the Molex when I get my winnie back.
I wasn't using them all [just the original 24-pin and 4-pin] at first, but then I finally wanted to see what the big deal was.
I was running at 2520MHz [280x9] and wouldn't budge, but when I plugged em in I was able to go to 2.7 [300x9]. Unfortunately it wasn't bench stable, only Windows / Screenshot / Daily BS stable.
So yeah, definately plug them in! Worked for me :D
:D Hm........., maybe I should give it a try ! ;)Quote:
