Never seen a LBBD either...
I guess was a kind of ignorant statement... true indeed, the proof is in the puddin.. er, something like that... I guess the fact that no one has seen an LBBD before could be interesting. :) I get my cooler, case, and PSU tomorrow... I'll be able to test it then...
theres only 3 threads in the AMD section about this. not to rain on the parade but can we try to cut down on this kind of spam please.
and i agree with the above: you cant know till you try it! no one can know what a chip will do before you try it.
i have recently tested a 3000+ lbbid and the damn thing wouldn't even do 2070 with 1.6V
and a Hyper 6 on a MSI K8N NEO2 stable. Never even heard of any AMD64 clock that badly before, but it could be that specific chip that just sucked.
Just to remind everyone:
XtremeOverclocking section is a section devoted to the discussion of XtremeOverclocking, such as when someone cools a CPU to -110C and achieves a 100% overclock over default value, or when someone achieves a unique and impressive result with ANY hardware. But when we talk about specifically about CPU's, it belongs in the Intel section or the AMD section

I think a better description/disclaimer should be put on the main forum page to the "Xtreme Overclocking" page. Most people who just visit the forum casually think that this forum is for discussion on how to overclock and ideas/suggestions. The fact that the name has "Xtreme" in it only comes into play since the name of the website is "XtremeSystems.org" so people think that it's just a play on the name of the website. I know I thought this at first. Maybe you guys should make it clear that the Xtreme Overclocking forum is ONLY for extreme overclocks. Putting it in a sticky just isn't enough since most people won't read it before posting. Just an idea.Quote:

I think I am just going to game more, and tweak my system less... it's fast at stock, so I am happy. cheers!
I have two 3000+ LBBID, 0511GPMW, tomorrow i think i'll give'm a try... And hope they do better than 2070.... :confused: :stick:
guys ... I relaxed my memory timings and now have what seems to be a stable OC @ 2360... 215x11
dram = 2-3-3-6
agressive timings = disable
fsb = 215
vcore=1.44 (3.3% over default)
vmem=1.65
vnf4=1.55
so far so good.... hit 19k on 3Dmark03. w00t...
Hi again, I tried one of the 3000+ LBBID's, his step:
-------...
LBBID 0511GPMW
Z-------C50955
I've never seen that C5, ussually it's L4, anyone knows about that? :confused:
I've tested him a bit, it seem rock-stable at 2,25ghz@1,4v, don't try at much more voltage, but suppose 2,5-2,6ghz@1,6volts aprox.
What do you think? :toast:
Mine is at 2410 now and seems to be ok... running more tests... settings are
agresssive timings = disable (is this just an MSI thing?)
dram= 2-3-3-6 @ 2.7volts (I had to bump the voltage up from 1.65 for stability)
cpu = 220x11 | 2410mhz @ 1.44volts
nf4 = 1.55volts
HT= 4x
thats not much....
granted.... it's a process man... I am taking it one step at a time, reporting my progress as I go.Quote:

ok -- fine... forget it. if no one is interested then I am just wasting _all_ of our time. outy5k.
toddler with a new toy. lol whateva...
Not trying to b a :banana::banana::banana::banana: or anything - but this is Xtremesystems man, post that 1 step at a time stuff at [H] or pcper, once you get the max - your welcome to stop back :clap:Quote:

I find it informative. at least he is posting results unlike others that just post the CHIP ID number etc and no results!
keep going on it..
IF people dont want to read it.. theyjust move on to the next thread and they should save there stupid comments for something else..
revenant - You are most welcome to post your results here. Seeing some new Winchester results is a breath of fresh air considering all of the countless Venice/San Diego threads that I have been moving, merging, deleting, and closing.
He might have a DIAMOND in the rough.It's already been moved from Xocing to AMD.What's the complaint?Quote:
