no 1 with 3/10 or 3/16 dram setting ???? you mean mem divider ???
Man, it seems it has been a rainfall of new bioses recently. Reminds me of the DFI nForce2 days :D
And yeah, what are those 3/16 etc dram settings, windwithme?
I haven't even had time to test the last one and now three variants of the latest from Oscar are out. Sheesh. Not that I'm complaining. It great to have more bios' that seem to be about performance enchancements than fixes. :)
I don`t understand about 3/10 and 3/16 DRAM setting and what makes it different from 3/31 no 1 ?
3/10 and 3/16 as in steps for voltage?? lol we are all lost as whats that now a bakers dozen of bios files?
and here I am on bios 2-01 still :)
:toast: Thanks bigtoe, now those numbers make much more sense indeed :D
I'm sorry but i dont get it.
Could somebody please tell me the difference?
I never knew of a released bios with 3/16 and I think that is what is confusing everyone. It went from 310 to 325/326. I guess if you are on 310 now getting the new one based on 310 would be a good idea if you are unsure how 316 plays with your memory.\
What else is new or is it just memtest? Any internal timings changed? Is the 0.03+v option added?
there are also 314 and 316 ... can get them here http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/other/114
i think there are listed all bios which were made and published by somebody.. if not send me a pm!
yes only 331-3 works for me as it should be based on 0310 bios..
others are no go no matter what i set...
Yes, it does contains those additional features in 326 bios.
I like the +.03v for vdimm....:D:
The 3-16 (alpha) bios was supposed to enable dimm slots 1&3 to be used.
Some slacker auto timings, not as performing as 3-10, but not bad at all. You may try 3-16RS if you want to use all slots for ram. Dunno if it works though, as my Twinmos BH-5 and KHX BH-5 were not compatible with each other.
correct me if i'm wrong, I think 331-3 is suitable for TCCD, 331-2 for VX/BHX and 331-1 is for general. :D
so what BIOS would u guys say is the best for VX to date?
Im currently using the 331-1 bios and it seems a pretty good bios for me. Running 11x245 @ 2-2-5-2 @ 3.1v 60 memtest #5 passes stable so far (0 errors that is), think you can call that pretty stable. :DQuote:

.
edit : its good 4 me, my board jest love it :toast:

Try running tests #5 & #6. Sometimes I can get through #5 with no errors but I get a few in #6.Quote:

As for memtest update, what's the new version offer?
326 didnt work for me. By that i mean the settings i usually use couldnt get into windows and i didnt feel like messing with them.
331 actually allowed me to gain 4mhz on the htt/ram. Using 331-2 with my bh5, seems to like it, didnt try the others.
