someone asked a few days ago for me to post this, so here it is.
I believe it was the post about the xp1800 and steppings...
well here you go, I worked for about 3 hours to do this, it wasn't too hard to get with the prometeia.

this was the absolute max I could do, at 169 on the FSB the blue screen of death pops up. at anymore then 170x14 then windows doesn't even begin to load.
and the CPU math.
running at 166 didn't give much of an impressive Memory benchmark so I didn't bother taking a screen shot of it.
and this is an easy safe overclock, that I am gonna burn in for a couple of hours.
wow, thats a very nice OC!
just how stable is 2329mhz?
2ghz with a prommie should be "safe". The Tbred 1700 i have at the moment isnt a very good one, but runs 1994.
Kunaak,
Very nice OC w/ that Tbred A :)
Indeed it is N8.Quote:

I forgot to mention, i came into the thread, saw the picture file name, and thought that isnt too good.
Its only just hit me now how far this CPU has scaled. Almost 50%.
it's actually about 55% scaled.
half of 1.53 ghz is 765, I oc'd the chip to 830 past regular speed.
I will have a picture of the chip for you guy in a little while.
it's on my second hard drive, and I have to install that one.
(one hard drive has XP, one has 2000 pro right now the XP pro drive is in)
heres the exact stepping and all the information. it was bought from newegg.com just over a week ago. I have run Prime 95 on it for 3 hours now at 2330 at 2.1 volts. its still going right now, I will check it later after work.
I am just gonna leave it on all day.
prometeia still reads -32 on average.
on a stranger note though, 2070 mhz is almost completly unstable for me. it freezes up and crashes alot very fast but past 2200 it seems stable...
I haven't run 3Dmark yet or anything though.
I am definatly looking forward to getting into the XP 2700 and 2800 again soon. Now that I have worked out the little quirks of mounting the prometeia head properly.
Kunaak, my Promie is on the way! I was wondering what your core and mem voltages were?
at this minute, it's running at 2250, 13.5x166 at 1.85 volts.
running prime 95 just started.
still trying to see what the lowest voltage I can run this at with the highest speed.
I just got through running a torture test of 2160 mhz at 1.8 on the vcore for 6 hours. it past with no worries.
in a few days I will post with more detaild results of everything.
lowest voltages to make things stable and such.
try to bench mark with 3dmark and such.
memory is at 2.75 volts right now.
VCore is 1.85 at this moment.
