hello everybody, I would like to know if somebody know the exact
operation of the component "adp3166" (on the k8n-e) and how I could
make to make him leave more 1.55V.
Otherwise is this somebody could help me to make a modification of the
vcore on the motherbord asus k8n-e?

Pin 8 on the adp3166 is the feedback pin, so the Vcore mod should be to connect a variable resistor between pin 8 and ground. A 20k Variable resistor should be ok, but if you want conformation of the value, can you get a resistance reading between pin 8 and ground, and pin 8 and a Vcore read point.

If the variable resistor between feedback and ground doesn't work, then you will probably have to cut the feedback trace and connect a variable resistor between the points.

The feeback trace is the connection on the motherboard which connects the feedback pin (pin 8 on the adp3166) on the voltage regulator to the regulated voltage so that the regulator knows how much voltage to give out. Usually there is a resistor between the feedback pin which allows you to just connect a variable resistor between the feedback pin and ground to mod the Vcore supply. If there isn't a resistor between feedback and the regulated voltage then you need to cut the feedback trace and put a variable resistor beteen the regulated voltage and the feedback pin.
If you do a cut-trace mod then you need to set the variable resistor to its minimum resistance (0 ohms) and raise the resistance for more voltage.

Connect the pin 17 and 18 with resistance, not work. My vdroop decrease.

I'm not sure about this, but try connecting a varable resistor between pin 17 and ground for the droop mod.

with vcore at 1.85V my 3400+ jump to 2776Mhz but i don't +.
The vdroop not fonctannaly.
Connecting pins 17 and 18 via a variable resistor should reduce the droop. How low did you decrease the resistance?

Did you try conencting a varaible resistor between pins 17 and 18? You will probably need to set the variable resistor to about 28k for the droop mod to be the most effective.Quote:
