I am about to build a dual 6800GT SLi rig, but I'm stuck on which PSU to buy. Can anyone give me some of the better PSU names that are good with SLi and will be enough for 2 6800GT's?
thanks :)

OCZ 600W Powerstream
i use an ocz powerstream 520 watt
Wow thanks for the fast replies! C_X, how is that 520w keeping up for you? Is it more than enough? The reason I ask is that I am also going to be watercooling my video cards and I will be putting VapoChill LS on my processor. I need it to support the system and have a little headroom as well :)
Thanks for the replies!
My dual 6800TD cards(at 465mhz core) work just great with a tagan480watt.
If that's the case, I'll save $70 by getting an OCZ 520w instead of a 600w.
Thanks for the help guys :)

I'm running an Enermax EG701 with two 6800 Ultras at 430/1200.

My Powerstream 520W has been great!!!!
C
one psu i don't recomend is Qtec here in belgium every noob buys one because the are cheap and they have great bige figures.
i ones had one and id just exploded in my case LOL
You shoudn`t have problem with around 520W quality (OCZ... PC&PCP or something like that... Zippy...)... Me and Bigtoe were talking about that at CeBIT. 420W was enough to run a 6800U, 1Gb of ram, FX55, DFI NF4, 2x raptor, etc.... IIRC that are the correct spec, sorry Tony if that are not the actual part;).
tagan 480w
I use an OCZ 520, as well. One item to note. MDZCPA uses the PCP&C 510 SLI, and noticed improved overclocking. That is the PSU I will be moving to in the next little bit.
Hey yeah, I have been using a 400w Zippy to power my 6800GT SLI rig, but I am thinking I am putting it to its limits...Quote:
