I have come with a crazy idea and want your input. I am including a drawing to explain it a bit better (borrowed from Chilly1's drawing and edited). The green box represents a dry nitrogen sealed enclosure. Would this work and if so what size compressor would it take? What temperatures could I expect with 404 or would the electronics heat overpower the cooling?

You would need a mighty big compressor seing as the evaps are differant sizes and balancing the system would be a pain with a small compressor. Then again if you used a txv for both depending on the temps you wanted and the insualtion of the nitrogen boxz you might be able to get away with using a 1/2hp.
yah balancing the load between the evaps would be hard.
just find a real cheap compressor and condenser and evap, and build a seperate small cheap A/C for your nitrogen box. also... if ur using nitrogen in a sealed container u dont need to chill it, no condensation will form if theres only nitrogen in the surroundings.
I think the container is for cooling the rest of the system, GFX (with "air cooler"), harddisks, and other things...Quote:

Yes the second evap would be for cooling inside the enclosure. I may just go with a seperate unit as suggested since I have no phase change experience. I have some aluminum and lexan on order to build my own custom cube and I plan on making a nitrogen filled motherboard box. Now I just need to save up for the actual hardware that will fill the box.
Cool idea (excuse the pun). Would the nitrogen be compressed?
i think you're better off turning that second evap into a water chiller...that'd be an interesting seup DD and waterchiller in one...
i think this looks like the vacuumed boxed dabit came up with. you got an evap that cools some chip and you got the other "evap" that cools the surrounding ehh.. "air", too cool the system and to reduce condensation. but i could be wrong.
if you're filling that box with dry nitrogen, that should take care of the condensation - good idea, but then i'd rather use another compressor for a chiller setup to cool gpu & nb & whatever else you like. just make sure the points where your tubing breaks the enclouser are sealed of real good. then there should be no problem with both compressors on the outside.

It was just an airtight box with normal air (not nitrogen) but dried with silicagel.
Well the second evap would need to be quite small and the enclosure would need to be sealed so no moisture ladenair can get in the case. A 1/2 hp R50-7 compressor would do the trick you would need an EPR (Evaporator Pressure Regulator) on the air coil to keep it seperate from teh block.
Which drawing program did you use?

The evaps on the cpu and gpu no need to protect them from water, there is no water in this case, let them to be seen the cooper, to cool the case too in case that the right compresor haz too much work. No need of izolation on the motherbord.
insde there should be enought air movement so that watervapors, humyd air is away
In case this air tight case is too cold for psu hdd or cdrom: the psu can go outside the airtight case, the hdd can be izolated in some neopren so its heating its self to lets say 5c(u have to see how much or less neopren to use). It can be used outside the case, sata cabels are now 50cm if i know well?!?!? cdrom outside on usb or sata.

Ok back to this idea. I have scrapped the direct die for now and just want to cool the case. What length cap tube should I start with? Will the motherboard be able to handle negative temps?
Use 93 inches of 0.028 this will give you -40 with a 1/3 hp compressor/ Should be ok for hte compressor.
those stirling cryocoolers are really interesting, although accoding to the website they can only remove 22w at -173c.
