Chaintech FX5700 128Mb
I've been searching for vmods for my FX5700 , but i havent found none, i have been directed to here and here i am asking for your help!
My FX has two ISL6225CA on it's back, one on each up corner of the back side of the board! http://www.intersil.com/data/fn/fn9049.pdf
I'll try to borrow a cam to post some pics!
Thanks!

Hrmm, according to the datasheet that ISL6225CA control vddr and vref, vref will track vddr no matter what it is, so a vref mod isnt necessry. HF should be able to help you out more than i can. Pics would help too :D My best guess would be 10 to 15 Via 100K Trimmer.

I'll post pic of the card soon! Thanks for the advice!

Take some pics of the card. If is the same like mine, you'll mod it :D

First of all is to change GPU coler.
After that:
1- is regulator for memory.
2 - for GPU
Voltage reading points are same like this in other threads.
To change memory voltage solder 10KOmh pot between pin 10 and ground. This regulator change VDD and VDDQ together, so you don't need to do VDDQ mod. To my card 5K resistance give 2,9V VDD and 1,46V VDDQ.
To change GPU voltage you'll need 2 resistors. They must have absolutly same resistance. After that solder on one them to pin 10 and ground, other must be between pin 19 and ground. This is for regulator 2. With 5,1KOmh resistors I reach 1,53V in 2D and 1,6V in 3D.
I want to know what are the voltages before You doing anything.

Tell me the safest method to read the voltage, please!
-
This is because some ppl say it's under load, others say to read idle!
-
You must read voltages undel load and idle. GPU has two voltages one in 2D and other in 3D. It doesn't matter about the memory.
-
The gpu cooler its the original, because i've sold my wb to make an upgrade to my water cooling system! The voltages i'll post here tomorrow!
-
My voltages are:
2D (IDLE)
GPU 1.3v
MEM 2.5v
3D (LOAD)
GPU 1.39v
MEM 2.5v
Can i do the mods with pots?
-
You can do memory mod with pot, but you must be careful with GPU. If you want to do GPU mod with two pots, they must be adjusted to the same resistance. If resistance is diferent, You may overload the regulator. Therefore I do it with resistors.
-
Are the voltages ok?
If i use resistors i'll get the voltages you said on post 6?
-
The voltages are OK.
My memory mod is with pot 10KOmh so you have no problem to use the same. There is no problem for memory regulator.
If you use 5kOmh resistors for GPU you'll have the same or close to my voltages. But you must think about the card cooling.
-
What cooling do you use for that voltages?
-
My GPU is watercooled and I put heatsinks on the memory, But with this voltages there isn't any problem to use good aircooling.
-
Thanks for all! I'll make a circuit so i can give her two diferent voltages to the GPU! One for benchs, and the other for day use!
I'll post pics soon!
