here it is, final version :)
interesting how the clawhammer and the gallatin, the newcastle and the northwood and the prescott and the winchester look so much alike, no?
they look very much like their direct competitor.
and what really amazes me is how intel managed to get all those transistors squeezed into such a small are on the pentium M cpus.
the banias has the same size as a tbred but 4x the L2 cache!!! and the dothan has almost the same size with even 2MB L2 cache in 90nm!
and the prescott is 20% bigger (!) than the dotahn ,yet it only has half the L2 cache! really interesting.
maybe the answer is a diferent amounr of metal layers? i cant imagine its possible to pack the transistors so much closer, and IF intel knew a way, then why did they only do it on the pentium M chips and not on the prescott chips?
anyways, i thougt those are interesting numbers and pics, so stuck them all on one large pic :)
if you find a mistake let me know :toast:
already found a problem, the pentiumM chips are slightly too large, but i wont change it, im too lazy :P
lol, sorry, the infos i got were from some websites, today i checked amds pdfs and the a64s are 40x40mm and not 35x35
heres the new version

i already have a prescott 775 if you look at my pic :P
theres a guy who wants to remove the ihs of his prescott in the intel section, please post there to help him :)
