here u go... :)
damn that vcore kinda sux :(
The Good News is... it use D22 Alpha1 romsip table... :)
i can assume no FSB issue on the latest board
Where is this new board? I don't see it on Abit's site, where did you get it???
i dont think he has it, i think he just is gettin all that stuff from looking at the bios he got.
hey tictac, does the Vram still run off the 3.3v line? 3.2v in bios is nice
but the vcore sucks, time for a mod :)
I modbin bios's myself... Just wondered where he found it? I knew the 400GB's were coming but didn't know Abit was doing a new NF7.
nice find tictac... sounds like an AN7 with no soundstorm and poor VCore regulation to me... I've seen a picture and it looks like there's only 4 VCore mosfets too (2 big and 2 small  )
MobileXP CPUs will need a VCore wire-mod or they will max at 1.8v (assuming they are read as 1.575v default like many nForce2 boards)... but Vdd and VDimm is nice. I bet VDimm come off the 3.3v rail too ;)
And abit finally used a Tictac BIOS mod on their ROMSIP!!! LOL
Hmm, you'd expect that the vdimm will run off the 5v rail if it can go upto 3.2v, but knowing previous boards from abit (AI7 for example) it'll probably still be from the 3.3v which BLOWS....Quote:

lol.. that vcore sux a big time... :( wire mod vcore will get to 1.85v x 14% = 2.109V :toast:
U can buy it here:
USD 95 only
pretty darn cheap

Tictac,
when you got the BIOS file did you notice there were quite a few "NF7-S" BIOSes?
I saw:
NF7S (rev1.0-1.2, nForce 400... i assume)
NF7S VER2.0 (nForce ultra 400 e.g. my board... I assume)
NF7S2G (nForce2 400Gb... I assume)
NF7S2 (whaa? )
ya i just notice that.... i download the NF7S2(before NF7S2G) - that bios is also for 400GB board... i assumeQuote:

so probably Abit have two nForce2 400GB board.... there is nVidia raid on both bios
- NF7S2
- NF7S2G
same vcore, same vdimm, same LDT voltage.....
here is the option available on the latest board... u can look at this text.. i extract it from the bios.... :D
lol, thats a whole load of gibebrish to me :(
lol... here is the board... look at the mosfet... pretty small for my eyes... http://forum.lowyat.net/html/emoticons/mad.gif http://forum.lowyat.net/html/emoticons/vmad.gif
ABIT NF7-S2G
http://www.abit-usa.com/products/mb/...es=1&model=205
I'm assuming the "G" means gigabit ethernet.
is that vcore mosfet capable enough to stablize the voltage...
yes the only difference between the new NF7S2 and the NF7S2G is Gigabit ethernet.
That VCore regulation circuit will only be designed to cope with about 1.9v (1.65v + 14%)... on the other hand, the Gigabyte 7N400Pro2 uses "stock + 10%" and i know of guys running 2v 2800MHz 24/7 stable with water... we'll hav to wait and see I guess
well this sucks
because they limited the vcore lower, they can put in crappier mosfets, which means when we mod it it will be eveon more unstable. and we all know how it fluctuates on the nf7-s
why dont we all just add mosfets :p:
the 8rda6 will be better... <3 EPoX
8 channel audio too for all the audiofiles here (not many)
Hmm one good thing it ha holes for sb..nice to try with tec on sb&nb. Small mosfetts are not all time bad.
Exactly :thumbsup:Quote:

If they're of higher quality... 2.1V ain't bad either if these boards are able to do similar fsbs like the DFIs, then 2.1V without mod is still better than the DFI ;)
Here is the full board :banana:Quote:

All heatsink up ... Northbridge & southbridge

nice :slobber:... one of the best looking Abit boards I've seen...
tictac,
do you know which BPL file the first BIOS uses? :D
they dont use BPL module anymore in this latest bios.. they use something called NVRAM version 4.X...Quote:

uncompitable with previous BPL....
already tested the NVRAM module on AN7... but not working...
