Custom LapTop Design Ideas

Hi all ive not been on the forums for a long long time over 3 years im sorry.well just last month ive had to sell my rig and monitor and switch to a laptop.i dont like it it will do untill i can build a new one.
now the problem i have is i want to build my own laptop (not a laptop) with mini ITX mobo and a decent graphics card and possibly water-cool it.I want to put all this in a bottom section like a laptop base but i know it needs to be thicker than a laptop,and take a nice 23-24" panel and use that as a lid.
the next problem would be weight how can i loose a few lbs? lol

Any Ideas Or Solutions Will Be Very Appreciated.
