Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000-L voltage mod or lack there of?
All the mods so far that i have seen are showing leg 6 of the usual 8 pin IC connected to a ground via a variable resistor. i have done mods similar to this with my radeons but I have never done a vdimm mod to a motherboard yet. I get a max of 2.9v(set at 2.8V in bios) on the GA-8IPE1000-L(i865).
The reason why I am hesitant is because the similar mobo is the GA-8IK1100(i875) and the vdimm mod for that mobo is different but using the same IC as my mobo. At the same time though I know there is more than 1 way to skin a cat:D Check the pic below to see what I mean.
