ASUS Crosshair V Formula (AMD990FX) - first part of the puzzle for Scorpius
1-Preliminary and layout

As you can see, the motherboard looks really good. The first photo we see the pasives of the CPU mosfets, NB section. I was red framed the main voltage regulator, here is the ASUS Extreme Digi + (Chill). It is controlling the various phases. There are total 10 phases, of which 8 are for CPU and 2 for the remaining part uncore processor. Each phase has its own digital driver and in an emergency situation and the possible destruction of one phase others work still remaining. Furthermore, this switching phases used in the one function of the EPU. On the left side we see the memory slots (retail is going to have the opposite colored than my sample) in the left corner click the "Go button". The function reaches into your BIOS settings in the "Go button file. Finally, at the bottom of the picture we perceive double the CPU power supply, and there is still 8pin and extra 4pin connector. Overall, board has 7x SATA ports 6GB, one SATA 3GB, one E-SATA 6GB, 6x USB3.0 ports, next 12x older USB 2.0 ports. It is possible to connect up to 8 fans! Board has support for RAID 0/1/5/10.
