Going to be "building" a tripple channel kit soon, 1 stick at a time (stupid budget) and am not sure whether to go with the 2200 CL8 Speed or 2000 CL7 ProjectX
I've seen the amazing results from the 2200 CL8 Speed kit, but how come I haven't seen much from the ProjectX? Seems promising with that CL7 @ 2000 :shrug:
Generally they are both good.
I got 1745 CAS 6-6-6-18 from my 2200 C8 dual channel kit, 1844 CAS 6-6-6-18 from my 2000C7 triple channel kit.
Single sticks can be binned lower than dual/triple channel kits so they are probably about the same.
Dunno why you havent seen 2000C7 results, I posted a few...my avatar is two of my 2000C7 sticks @ 1.75v...just a suicide shot.
tripple channel..sounds like intel setup. i recommend something more viable...most of those rams are eol... replacing them will be pita. i suggest more stable rams.

whats your best speed that is sp32m stable?
If those are the ones you are waiting to go back in stock, I wouldnt count on it. Ive been checking every day for a couple weeks and they are always out.
About 1860 I'd think. My 1100T just came in the door and my IMC wall should be lifted so I need to see what they do with this CPU. My 565 doesn't like ram above 1820, and the 965 BE had trouble with IMC stability after ~1850.Quote:

Considering all that has been said, what suggestions do you have then?
I have a buyer for my current Mushkin dual channel kit, and would like a new kit lined up to minimize downtime of my system.
I would like ddr3 2000 and lowest possible latency (I feel silly even saying that, of course this is what everyone wants :rolleyes: )
I will end up benching them someday, but that is definitely not their #1 priority.
I have found STT 2133 CL8 Speed kit in stock somewhere, not sure I wanna mention where lol, but how does this kit compare?
Splave also has 2000 CL8 Chrome kit for sale, and a Kingston 2200 kit for sale... Chrome really doesn't match my "theme" but w.e., and AFAIK the sinks aren't removable? Kingston's are Elpida but not Hyper, right?

Reflecting the 2133 were the weakest of my STT, and surprisingly the 2000 C8 are the best besides my ProjectX- the 2200 are very good rams but donīt match the ProjectX at C7. Referring to the chrome 2000C8- they have a big variation in performance, as usual I was lucky and got a batch that seemingly was not binned- in contrary to the triple kit I had which was just averrage eight of my 10 single sticks STT Chrome 2000 Cas8 do 2000 C7 at 1,63 and below- which is on par with the 2000 C7 Project X i have.
I have 2000 C8 Performance Chrome dual-channel kit, but nothink special. They did 1716 MHz 6-6-6-18 1T, 1956 MHz 7-7-7-21 1T, 2076 MHz 8-8-8-22 1T and 2208 MHz 9-9-9-24 1T with 1.648V DRAM Voltage.
//And I have ADATA XPG+ TCT 1866 MHz C8 with Hyper MNH-E too, but it's crappy kit. 1956 MHz 8-8-8-22 1T max stable with C8 and 1.648V. :(
My weakest Chrome kit I still own- as talk is cheap;) - they can do same result with tighter TRFC, was just a test- Memtest stable as well as in the scomd screen, but there I did just an 1m for I didnīt want to stress them without reason

Yes all of the SuperTalent 2000C8 2000C7 2133 C8 1600 C6 and 2200 C8 are MGH-E ;)
BDBG are similar to PSC in performance.
So the only difference between the 1.6k C6, 2k C8, 2k C7, 2.1k C8, 2.2k C8 are binning and binning only? Maybe different PCB (I am new to performance ram, and don't know what role PCB plays in high performance)Quote:

I dunno beep should you mix Rams ? i always heard that was a bad idea >.< and i'm pretty sure they won't dual channel are be anything at the enthusiast end that he wants going for the 2133C8... Aren't those the bad left overs :S more overpriced than what they really are ...

So the 2133's are like the "well what should we do with the left over sticks?" "eh just list em as 2133 cl8's and see if they bite"
