Pump/loop advice for dual loop 6 quad rads

Ok, so I have 6 quad Swiftechs going into my MM Ascension. I know overkill but i want a good overclock at 1000-1300 rpm on fans.

I just need to figure out how much pumping power I need.

2 loops seperate.

Loop 1 CPU EK - Mips corsair memory block > triple quad rads in pull ( maybe push/pull after)

Loop 2 ek X58 Sli le MB block and 1 ek 5870 Full cover block.

Now My question is Should I be fine with a Single d5/mcp655 With (koolance COV-RP450) per loop or do I need Dual D5's( Ek dual D5 top single loop) for each loop. Both have the Res's direct attached which I like. I tried sorting it out but the heat dump vs pressure etc I'm a little lost

Now I want to buy more rads :(

Rads don't add much restriction at all, so chain the hell out of them. A single D5 should be fine.

depends what rads you are talking about....
In the loop 2 there are no rads?
a dd cpx-pro or two would be enough for that loop . it cost half price than laing ones + top that you'd need to use standard fittings and it performs similarly.

For both loops a DDC 3.1 / MCP350 should be strong enough.

SIX quads for 1 machine... wild...

As BlueAqua said, radiators don't add much in the way of resistance for flow. A single D5 should be more than enough for each loop. Do you have any splitters, t-lines, etc in the loop?

6 radiators? just get two mo ra 2/3 radiators

No offence, but 2 Mo Ra's would get their asses kicked by 6 Quads.

LOL is it really needed ? Or are you just bored and wanna fiddle with 6 rads, either way man more powaaa to you and i wanna see some pix lol.

There 3 rads per loop ;-) .. not going with this pump that pump or another pump its the D5/mcp655's variable speed control and I know there work horses there's a reason why the 655/355 are the most used pumps. The Mora's I don't like them there large but overall not well designed, restrictive, bad FPI and proprietary spaceing etc for certain builds there great just not for me.

Why so many rads ? Its simple people go on about fans push/pull, pump flow etc to get more out of there systems simplest way to increase there cooling is surface area ( the Moria's fail at this due to design flaws). I want a Great overclock but I also want the system close to silent and internal.
Start off with a large Cooling area's and work from, there going with 1850 gt's and if i want more add another set for push pull. I also have overhead for lots of add-on's/upgrades over the years as this case should have a 5 year lifespan AT least.

I was running a D0 920 those things run insanely hot as most of the i7's and the x58 Mb's Do. I'm upgrading to a 940 I got next 2-3 year ? how hot is some of it gonna run ?. Running single video card now but who's to say next year I don't go dual or even triple as it changes ? I won't need any WC upgrades just maybe different blocks to fit ;-).

The real question is why not?

depends which quad we are talking about and at what fan speed...all that mora Mo-ra 3 needs to give less than 0.01 °C/Watt (with 600w load) are crappy fans at 500 rpm....
there are not yet reviews on how it performs with high speed (ultra kaze for ex) fans but with low speed fans it is a beast...i can't imagine how it 'd perform in tandem with another...

Cool I got a 940 on my x58 classy , these chips need lots of voltage . I run mine at 4.0 or 4.1 but have gotten 4.2 stable .. 4.1 is gonna take around 1.46 plus other little adds here and there and that's with HT on :)

The 6 quad is purely a personal choice. My Loops Would max on cooling vers ambient temps with 6-8 120's worth of cooling If wanted to run the fans high. I don't need 24 120's . But I want a Monster Case with a Ton of rads .. well just because ;-) And the fact I can get a higher oc without having to turn up my fans while gaming. Its set and forget.

I'm cooling a D0 920 plus Ram, a 5870, and x58 SLI LE on a triple and Dual. I played around with it me and buddy of mine anything over another triple hell another dual was a waste I dropped maybe .2c at anything beyond 7 120's. Except for chip switch to I7-940 I'm reusing the gear.

My point is this I want this . Secondary I wanted enough rad that its was Almost silent while pushed to the max ;-)
