Custom system work's

Just like thennvols 9 a building a simple phase -change system by reading thi's forum over and over agean.
De old metal man provided my black star (danfoss)fr6bxt2 unit
A couple of old compressors for vacuum also ,and a gif it a tray filled
with propane.

Later on a filled the system again with de cpu on it,and do -24° on te block on my barton 2500+@ 2700 mhz

Now a take it apart and try to make a better blok and integrade de captube in the suckline and a case and al the stuf .

Thank's for al the info provide'd here.and the warnings for the use of propane ,a tray to be extreme careful whi't this stuf and duble check al my brazzing and do nothing in the house untill am sure it is OK.

Looks good :D How do you get the cap tube into the suction line?

looks like you need to work on your tuning of the system...your load/unloaded temps are a little distant from each other.

A make a new blok and insert de captube like bowman learn us;)

Insert it via a sea flair angle (don't know the name of it )

Load temp = -22°C
unload temp = -30° (litle time idle)

The picture of -50 is not acurate ,bud de lowest temp a just had during the filling whi't to litle gas in it :D
The - 50° temp not stand any load ,it just was cool to take a pic of it ;)

Yep ,my cpu is just fine ,a just play a litle and let the system idle down to -32°C and see hu fast it boot ,

Bud the system could not hold the heat and shut of after 10 min or so.:mad:
Need to inprove the cooling a litle a think ;)

The unit is an old R12 unit ,bud a filled it whith R290 (propane)

Made a new blok .
Ful handtool made and 1 long(40 cm) channel inside , going up en down in 9 channels a 9 mm .
Captube enters via the suction line ;)

results: koper bar in water of 50°C blok hold -30 °C

Excellent work, congratulations. -52C even unloaded is quite an achievement. If you want to improve your loaded temps you should look for Armaflex insulation, it is denser than the insulation you have on now. Remember, insulate insulate insulate!

Do you have any more pictures of the inside of your block? I'm interested in how you made it.

t'is is the principe. gas goes up en down and swits in up en down block ;)

Channel is D 9 mm +/- 40 CM long t'his way .

I take the danfos 1/5 hp compressor out and an embraco 1/3 hp LBP in .

after 7 min temp = -61 °C .
W'hat is wrong ? -61°C is not posible a think .( R290 )
It is a new temp probe , but it is not acurate i think .

if the vaccum is deep enough the boiling point can do that.

that would be a pretty strong vacuum

post what ur guages say on the suction line by the compressor

u dont have guages smolly?...lol, you should, i dunno seems like you dont need it, you tuned it pretty well!

I have gauges but no thermometer.. well I have a thermometer on my fluke voltmeter but it goes to -50 then goes blank.

Test a fluke thermometer on it , m meter is -60 °C and the fluke on -55.4 °C.

conclusion =+/-5 °C diferance .


An old LCD broken tempmeter has -54.7°C on it, so a use that in the future .

So a'm hapy for the moment , gona test on cpu ;)
