That's interesting.
I have to say it was a good read. I didn't know the back story behind the board till now.
Evga should name a motherboard after Shamino (signature series). The guy is a legend!
(Unlike Fugger, who is totally overrated. I heard he's allowed in here only because he knows the site owner.)
A god among men. :bows:
interesting
Big gigantic mammoth difference. Shamino is a great designer who name actually means something on a product. That is because he actually involved in the designing process and has proved his worth in the products he works on. If shamino name is on it, it likely hardcore overclocking stuff.
Fatality is a gamer who just whores his name on everything, from videocards to power supplies, none of which he has a fricken clue about. A product with the fatility badge just mean Wendels making money if you buy this product.
I've been playing with SR-2 a few days. It is a groundbreaking product and therefore needs attention from somebody knowledgeable to leverage it's full potentials.
There are a few early BIOS issues which needs to mature, and it is good to have somebody like Shamino on the task. It looks like a great MB with big potentials.
is this a direct transcript? why didnt they correct the few mistakes BOTH of them made to make it easier to understand?
nothing really interesting in this interview, the questions were really boring... : /
Going to read the interview now but I want to say a few things about Shamino.
You read about the "hero's" of this hobby. You hear stories, etc.
Some people get made out to be larger than life and when you read this stuff you do a "yea, sure, yup,he puts his socks on one at a time like the rest of us"
Then by luck you get to know this guy a bit better, you see him working, you see the intensity in his eyes and when you sit down to talk with him you see this open friendly person with a smile that lights up the room and you know what? He's the real deal. I mean a God's truth, no sheet just plain excellent guy with no ego crap.
Add in to this a willingness to help others that leaves you wondering how he manages to fit it all into one day.
Sounds like I'm "star struck" doesn't it but I'm not.
I'm way too old for that crap.He just is what people tell you he is.
Just go to show you why even the top pro's out there look up to Shamino and Hipro5. Both are master of the volt mods and it show why in this interview. I don't think overclocks would be as high as they are without both these guys contributions. It might be a fairly technical interview, but it shows you just how much Shammy contributes to the actual design process. If they asked the same type of questions for example to Fatality, he would just spout non sense or spout out a script.
Its no wonder Shamino works with motherboard manufacturer's.
