Over the weekend I ran a 955 BE on DICE. I got to 4800mhz @ 1.425v cake... I started running into Windows 7/Vista boot issues for my max cpuz validation at 4900mhz; However I did manage to capture a validation on 4900mhz @ 1.425~1.45v (can't remember excatly - at school -).
I would really like to see this chip hit a 5000mhz core.
CPU is stepping C2

Why only 1.425v? :confused: 5GHz should be cake with abit more?

i think 5.0Ghz is in your future for sure with the vcore required for 4.9Ghz:D
I'm at school right now. Going to get some pictures up when I get home. But I tried to boot into windows at 5000mhz @ 1.475~1.5v - No luck! Maybe I just need to play around a bit more...

edit: maybe XP is easier on the chip to boot into for a cpuz validation...? What tends to be more preferred?
1.62 is really safe, 1.67 is probably the limit for DICE. Push it!

I've done that. heh I've done 2-3 OS installs while cold. :D What I really love to do is play games that are CPU limited under DI.
As for voltage, I'm with them. It's safe to run 1.6x under dry ice. I think I've personally run as high as 1.7x on the 955 I was using (a total dud compared to yours). Heck, 1.55V is safe on air if your temps are reasonable.

For safe volts I ran a rb-c1 945es with 1.6x volts 24/7 on water and as high as 1.8v on dice it did fine with that most other c2 chips I clocked on dice did around 1.63-1.67v to hit there max clocks. Validation for a couple of my chips is in my sig if those settings can help you any

Now try to get it as a quad core with a good bus speed and shoot us some pi numbers :)
Chicken increase the voltage :p: 1.65v is no problem, even 1.7v is manageable under DICE for validation :up:
If it makes ya feel good ,I use 1.62v 24/7.....water only
Im a noob, i dice my Beer to look Scary cool on Holloween.
I'll be throwing up some more DICE results this Sunday. I would like to get a bid on a dewar rental from Airgas to see what my chip can do!
