Kinda depends on the rest of your rig, but probably not.
TDP of those cards is 300W, but tests have proven it eats 50W more than an HD5970 (which is also 300W, lol).
So, 350Wx3=1050W for the GPUs. Somehow I doubt you'll be satisfied with 150W for CPU, mobo, ram, etc ;)
Unless you undervolt or something, it's not going to work.
I suggest getting a 2nd PSU if your case allows for that, or maybe just 2 cards?

I'm calling BS on those numbers. Let me just give you a little comparison my dual gtx295 setup when running furmark burns roughly 1050W. That is with an i7 @ 4.2ghz and stock gpu clocks. Here is a review that shows i7 @ stock and 2-way sli using 730W. Adding an additional card was 282W, so with some math thats 1012W stock with a pretty bare system. With a decent i7 OC your system will be peaking at roughly 1200W.

Yeah you need 1500W PSU and not a watt less.
All I'm going to say is that if it was me I'd have at least a top 1200w multi rail just for the 3 vid cards and a separate appropriate sized psu for the rest of the system.
The silverstone 1500 watt psu is soild, and what I am personally using for a tri sli gtx 480 system I am building.

Frist off i would never buy a mult. rail power supply . I already when down that road once and learn my lesson . There one power supply maker i like that PC Power & Cooling there 1200w power supply has a 90a

Well looking at what he trying to do, that 3 GTX480 in one case just the fans off the three video cards are going to drown out the power supply fan let alone all the case fans he going to need to keep it all cool .If he gose with water cooling he going to need a radiator off a mack truck a pool for a tank and a pool pump to move enought water through the 3 video cards to keep them kool and the pump fans for that are going to make a bunch of noise .Noise is what happen when you use the bigest power hog of a video card ever made by man that also makes the most heat every made on top of all that .If you want quiet you use ATI video card you want noise you use the new 400 video card made by Nvidia . He want to know what power supply would get the job done and the PC Power & cooling power supply would do it. Lests face this rig is not going to be quiet .
if you dont oc... a good 1200W psu or maybe even 1000W psu might be enough...
but that would probably overload the psu when running furmark or folding at home and the psu would burn out after a while...
to be on the safe side id def recommend a good 1200W psu or 1500W psu... silverstone actually tests lots of highend vgas on their psus... they had a system running 2 gtx295 cards and 2 9800gx2 cards all running folding at home last computex... so if i were you, id contact silverstone or other psu makers and ask them what psu they recommend you...

he was running two psus BUT the sum of the 2 = less than 1150 (running a ws setup 980x oced to 4.4 ghz and 3 gtx 480 at 801mhz
what about the evga psu for the SR2, that should be out soon right
What was he running to hit 1150 watts? Also you run a psu at its peak for too long they have a tendency to burn out.Quote:

i would spend the money on the silverstone psu, it's better than buying a new computer 'cause the cheap psu caught on fire.... i've been running an ST-1000 for 3 years now and i love it.Quote:
