So first I'd like to state that i'm preety much a nub to intel so I'm gonna keep it simple play with primary timings and see what these can do through a range of speeds.
Second I'd like to state no B2B tricks here.

That concludes water testing. Unfortunately I was not able to acchive spec but that isn't corsairs fault. As you will see in stage 2 they can do spec very easily and the cpu is to blame and needs cold to scale further. I might add that while i left voltage at 1.712 for most of those runs it obviously was not necessary for the majority I just found it easier to leave voltage at what i felt was a safe operating level.

That wraps it up folks, as you can see these sticks can do spec and quite a bit more. Unfortunately they won't pull spec on most cpu's due to uncore limitations at XX temps.
The sticks certainly live up to there hype and get an A+ reccomendation for the hardcore benchers that must have absolute performance under cold temp ranges. :up:
Be sure to tune back in to Stage 2 when I test potential on P55 platform :)

*Disclaimer* this cpu is horrible and has some issues and some slight burnage so if I ran clocks low it's due to cpu not capable and not the rams faults. :shrug:

I didn't bother with 8-8-8 seeing as 8-8-7 already surpassed spec and I hit what appeared to be the IMC limit on air.

Now just wanted to show there plenty of room for squeezing more performance and tighter timings however I like to show results that average users can acchive. That said YRMV with tighter timings.

Now this cpu is a complete turd so excuse the low clocks. Yes I tried with high clocks. Yes I tried to fry cpu with voltage. Yah preety much tried everything, can't polish a turd so here goes where we left off on air.

After that I played with some effeciency testing and sadly I could not get the uncore/ram speed/timings I wanted without losing a severe amount of cpu speed so I ran these 2 runs.

After doing that testing I had just enough DI left for one run so I fired up my 32m Bench OS and let it rip tuned, wasn't to happy about effeciency but ehh what can you do.

That wraps up P55 testing. It was nice to acchieve rated specs on air but I'm not to thrilled with lynfield performance. The GTX2 once again lived up to specs and then some so A+ for that.
Sadly this chip was not up to the task for anything beyond 2400 ram. Thuban testing is up next be sure to tune back in :)

Not tuning with cpu tweaker it's just there to show what I have set, preety much a bios guy myself.

I fully agree with you Chew, I had same experience with Tylersburg, only, my IMC was even worse....

These sticks are extremely strong and a pleassure to bench. They works and scale well with both CL6, CL7 and CL8
which are the area you most likely play them in. Clarkbar you migth wanna go CL5 if you have CORSAIR CMGTX2 :up:

Just thought I'd toss this out there "unoficially".

As you can see there's quite a bit of untapped performance that I am not tuning for in the review. Subs can be tightened quite a bit more.

Air on gulftown / LSC + silver theme, no other tweaks.

well, they've really optimised CL6 on these sticks - otherwise there's no point in paying premium for gtx2 over "regular" 2000c7s ... cl7 is barely over spec of 2000c7, cl8 will be limited by the platform anyway

Hmmm I tend to disagree.....It took me 2 3x2g sets of regular GTX to make one "good" 2x2g bench set which I might add can't match these. Cost for my 2x2gig set was a tad more and i'm still short a stick for triple channel. 3rd sets the charm right ;)

Good stick there Brian, mine can't do TRFC 60 over +1000Mhz 32mb stable... needing 70ish level there and even 88 for 1100mhz... how you liking the REX III ? I'm more looking forward to Thuban stage :p

was trfc on auto in the first couple SS's or did it require the bumps to maintain stability (100 to 102 to 104 etc)
