Gigabyte 5870 SOC Pre-test

Thanks gigabyte let me have a chance to pre-test SOC 5870.

This card has a special tool for changing vgpu and vtt.:up:

Thats a nice tool gigbyte got there , no fancy color show :up:

that looks really tasty - 1.55+ Vgpu is nice, I often had problems on reference cards with 1.45+, this one seems to be prepared for more juice. cool! I also like the tool.

Got to love the true engineer-touch on SOC Tuner. Nice work from both Gigabyte and you Andre!

I like this thread very much: no chitchat, no big words, just one screenshot.

The tool looks pretty awesome as well: nothing extra-peculiar - just what we need.

It's only for GB 5870 so far.

Hey Andre thanks for sharing! Any word on how long till it hit's retail? After MSI's failed Lightning launch the market is ready for a proper 1400/1400 card.

I heard it will be available on end of March because gigabyte 5870 competition will start from April 1. The prize is 1500 USD.:)

Andre is there a problem with the cards efficiency?
I am asking cause in the second GPU test 69 FPS for these clocks are kind of low..
Sampa with much lower clocks had ~70FPS...

No problem with the cards efficiency - just as usual Andre's efficiency ;) :D :p:

Judging from Hipro's and my GPU scores in Vantage the SOC is not lacking in any shape or form

I think I push memory too high. It will effect GT2 bug low or ASUS mobos always have 1~2 fps higher than any mobos. We need to figure it out.
