All copper sinks only do well under extreme CFM etc they will be noisy for optimum performance.
Why not just wait to see how much heat the silicon tosses out.......

I can't speak to overclocking, but I've had good look with Istanbul using both a Sunbeam CCF and Xigmatek HDT-1283. Cool to the touch. Only warm under load. I'd guess Thuban will be a lot like cooling an Agena in terms of difficulty, not some new impossible level.
looking for the right cooler, does this mean you already have a Thuban waiting? ^_^

Is it better than True with high rpm fan?

I don't understand the question, how good is what? Corsair H50 is good, I didn't test it with AMD, only with i7 920 clocked to 3.8 24/7, and temps are around 70°C in load what is acceptable... I still have it with i7, if you want I will test it on amd for youQuote:

Thuban has some pretty nice power saving features. It may be as easy to cool as my Phenom II 940 for light overclocking. Heavy clocking = water or better I'd bet. Thuban won't like it's power saving features turned completely off imho.
cele303, oh sorry, I meant 3Rsystem Iceage 120 Boss II. How good is this? I would be thankful if you test h50 on amd (intake to case and upside down for the rad) and compare it with your another cooling whatever it is Wc kit or air cooler.
beepbeep, how about Kaze 3000rpm? The question is how much it affects temp from going from low rpm (stock corsair) to high rpm.
Im looking at some forums how h50 could perform with dual rad (there is possibility for further mod)
flanker, sorry if you feel that Im ruining your thread. it feels unneccesary to create new thread and discuss single product without competitors when h50 even costs less than a noctua :) I'd be interested for an air cooler if it can perform over 5C better than h50 with same fan as aircooler. I've seen some tests that h50 performs similiar to megahelms (with kaze push pull for both) though i cannot be 100% sure.
I don't know personally how good it is, my friend is in Germany right now and when he returns he will bring me Boss II and then I will compare it with my testing Big Typhoon... But review at frostytech say it is kick ass cooler and their tests results are always similar with my personal experience so I believe them!Quote:

the results in AMD systems tend to be different
Dunno how accurate it is, but they tested in an AMD plataform, this titan fernir looks like a veeeeeeery nice cooler in AMD's plataform

Hey look out for a site called linke computers. They cship out of HK and thats where I got my Baram as well as my Thermalright Vex. Takes a bit of time to ship but thts ok with me...they have the vex and nhd14 at 69.99 plus 10 for shipping...great price aint it???
Imo, they didn't push the CPUs hard enough.. Fair enough 1.6v is high for air, but with a low core speed and no imc oc at all, a lot of coolers will do quite good. Ramp up the core and imc clocks and you'll get a lot different results :)Quote:
