I am wondering if a RX240 is sufficient enough for a 5870 crossfire setup. I've done some forum search and google search but I haven't found much info on multi-gpu setups and rad choices.

It depends how much noise you can take.
You'r probobly fine but I would go with a 360.
Well the reason I ask is because I'm probably going to have 2 loops. I can fit a 360 at the top of my case and a 240 at the bottom.
I was gonna put my CPU and possibly my PWM on the 360mm. I can't fit a 360mm rad in the bottom of my case with this PSU.
If that is the case will it provide ample cooling power?
i think so. there much cooler than my gtx 280s
I ran the i7 @ 4.2 with 2 gtx 280s and needed 5x 120 radiators to keep the fans on low
the other night i turned off 3 120 raid fans, only keeping 2 120s running and looped 06 all night with prime and in moring and it was fine with 2x 5870
but for room id run at least the 3-120 for future proofing
the 240 rad...will outperform the original aircoolers that you have....of course its enough..it will cool it ok..
You should be fine. I'm running 3 285s on a single swifty 320.
