Introduction

Looks like it's a 6 phase VRM to VCC. 2 Phase at the top of the socket for VTT.

So what brand of Socket does this board uses? Is it LOTES or Foxconn (now famous for its burnouts...)?

I was told DFI have both sources for sockets Foxconn as well as Lotes

i´ve just ordered now my 3rd Mobo. Hope that it will run without the on,off,on,off problem.

Lotes here, this is what our info is Foxconn LGA 1156 Issue As George said there is a mixture of sockets out there. Perhaps its's a geographical thing Germany seems to have got the boards much earlier than everone else around 3 weeks ago I think ? At least the greater majority should be Lote,

Well, I tested this mobo with Core i5 750 under extreme cooling for twice and didn't get any damage in socket or on cpu. :up:

DFI have dropped the Foxconn sockets after they experienced a burnout in their labs too using the infamous Foxconn 1156 offering. Newer batches of boards should be using LOTES or perhaps TYCO AMP (not sure on the latter). Further info on why this happens is here; http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=3661

So far needing a little more vcore & IMC (vtt) than the equivalent clocks on the Asus P7P55D Deluxe.

I Thought load line wasn't working, had it set to 100%, evidently that's the default disabled setting :), to fully enable it use 50%.:ROTF: :shrug:

I just checked the temps for the PWM, they seem quite high when you're running over 3.8GHz.

what are they ?
Mine were highish 65C on 3.9Ghz. I think, I stuck a fan on which bought them down to 56C
