Hey guys when you do these VERY nice overclocks (high voltages and speeds) on these cheaper boards, do you put any kind of load on the chip or motherboard? Only reason I am asking is I have an Asrock X58 Extreme, gets great reviews everywhere, however, the other night I had my cpu at 4.0ghz(191x21) vcore about 1.23-1.25, VTT at 1.34, CPU PLL at 1.88, DRAM at 1.654 and HT on. The heatsinks on the board got SO HOT after about an hour of prime Large FFT's, I couldn't even touch them. Then the board shut down, which is a good thing instead of burning up. I had to wait for it to cool down before starting it up again. This was with the side of the case off and an ambient temp of about 19C in my basement.
My point is I guess, these cheap boards are great, dont get me wrong, but something has to be sacrificed for it to be cheaper than say a Gigabyte, Asus or EVGA board.
What do you guys think?
